Question on the credits: Why does Dominic Purcell (playing Lincoln
Burrows) get top credit when Wentworth Miller (playing Michael
Scofield) is clearly -- clear to me, anyway -- the lead player?
In a real sense, I think the Lincoln Burrows character is a major
supporting character, but no way that he carries the brunt of the
show. Any ideas on why the billing is this way? I don't recall
Dominic Purcell as a major player on TV or movies before this series,
so it's not like he was a hugely hot star -- unless he starred in
something I'm not aware of.
He had his own show on FOX at one point called "John Doe" only ran for
one season.
Also had a lead on "North Shore." Wasn't a hit, lasted 5 eppys but counts as a
series. But yeah, "John Doe" probably gave him bargaining power.
And no one really knew who Wenty was before Prison Break. The most he'd done
was guest appearances on series, a few movies and "Dinotopia." I think they
were banking on Purcell being the major star.

Purcell has a better agent, apparently.
He had played the young version of Anthony Hopkins in "The Human
Stain" as well.
Yep. Hence, "a few movies."
Also, by the start of Prison Break, Purcell had already starred as the
villain (well, Dracula) in Blade: Trinity.
Purcell was definitely the *much* bigger name at the time. They
really should work out a thing like on Bones where Boreanaz and
Deschanel share the same first-credit card in the opening credits.

LORELAI: I am so done with plans. I am never, ever making one again.
It never works. I spend the day obsessing over why it didn't work
and what I could've done differently. I'm analyzing all my shortcomings
when all I really need to be doing is vowing to never, ever make a plan
ever again, which I'm doing now, having once again been the innocent
victim of my own stupid plans. God, I need some coffee.
