Mountains have been covering themselves in whiteness for far too long!

https://www.king5.com/article/news/community/facing-race/diversity-outdoor-recreation-systemic-racism/281-62648fed-5a13-455e-af34-a4a36b32664b

Cool. Now do a think piece on the lack of racial diversity in the NBA. No,
you say? That's not a problem that needs fixing but putting more black
people on the cliff faces is?

We live in Clown World.

If a bunch of people decide not to do a thing because it's not something
they culturally like to do, does that mean we need to hector them into
doing that thing so some white activist woman somewhere can give herself an
equity pat on the back?

This is straight out of Bill Burr's "I'm All Out of White Guilt"

We lost “squaw peak“ a while back because despite all empirical evidence
saying “squaw“ was never an insult they believed the testimony of one
delusional Indian who claimed he remembered when the white man first came
to the valley (400 years ago) and they used “squaw“ as an insult.

Maybe he should meet Maxine Waters (I think), who claimed to be an ex-slave.

Diversity experts say the lack of diversity in outdoor
recreation is another example of how systemic racism plays out
in our society.

So many things in just one sentence to annoy me. How do I get a job as a
diversity expert?

I demand Jewish representation in the NBA!

A blind date maybe? Emphasis on blind with the meaning of 'oblivious
to facts'

You could make it impervious to accusations of racism by changing
Jewish th Munchkins!

Our high school had a Jewish basketball player that was really good one
year when I was in high school. He led our team to (unprecedented?)
success throughout our part of southern Ontario. I remember hearing that
he'd been scouted by a US college. I think they offered him a
scholarship but I don't know if he took it, let alone if he
distinguished himself once there.

Hmm. Just did a quick google and it seems he stayed local, playing in
the Wilfrid Laurier University team for at least one season. I don't see
anything else about him. Maybe if he'd been a little better or had taken
the US route, he might have been the Sandy Koufax of the NBA....

I'm just waiting until the "activists" start complaining about the snow
all being white and declaring THAT racist too. That would inevitably
spark a call for the best and brightest of "BIPOC" scientists to solve
this horrific problem, perhaps with some kind of snow dye applied at
great public expanse to keep the poor snowflakes from having conniptions
every time they see an actual snowflake with its implied threat of
systemic white supremacy.

Don't tell me it won't happen; it would be just a further slip down the
slope we're already on and is only marginally more absurd than what
they're hyperventilating about now.

Apparently that doesn't serve to calm the voices of the "activists" when
it comes to people though. Funny that....

You might want to look up the word "refracts". Then again, look at the
idiots you're responding to.
