-Ratings Breakdown:
Football ignited NBC led the Sunday troops with the Pittsburgh at
Cleveland match-up at an estimated 15.75 million viewers and a 6.3
rating/16 share for the prime-time portion (from 8-11 p.m.). Earlier
in the evening on NBC was the football pre-game at 6.99 million
viewers (#3) and a 2.7/ 8 (#2) among adults 18-49 from 7-8 p.m. Keep
in mind, of course, that results for any live sporting event are
always approximate.

Due to an estimated 45-minute prime-time football overrun, all results
on CBS are approximate. Following football was 60 Minutes, a Big
Brother 10 clips show, and repeats of Cold Case and CSI: Miami. Here
is the half-hour breakdown:

ABC finished a distant third in total viewers and fourth among adults
18-49 with its encore combination of America’s Funniest Home Videos
(Viewers: #2, 7.54 million; A18-49: #3, 2.1/ 6), Extreme Makeover:
Home Edition (Viewers: #3, 7.14 million; A18-49: #3t, 2.3/ 6), and two
episodes of Desperate Housewives (Viewers: 5.53 million; A18-49: 2.0/
5 from 9-11 p.m.). Next was Fox care of back-to-back repeats of The
Simpsons (Viewers: #4, avg. 4.06 million; A18-49: #4, avg. 1.7/ 5 from
7-8 p.m.) and a repeat of the two-hour Fringe pilot (Viewers: #4, 5.70
million; A18-49: #2, 2.4/ 6 from 8-10 p.m.). And the CW was
above-average with its encore line-up of One Tree Hill (Viewers: #5,
1.30 million; A18-49: #5, 0.5/ 1), Privileged (Viewers: #5, 2.01
million; A18-49: #5, 0.8/ 2) and America’s Next Top Model (Viewers:
#5, 2.73 million; A18-49: #5, 1.2/ 3). Keep in mind that Fox aired The
Emmy Awards on the year-ago Sunday, which resulted in the steep
year-to-year erosion.
