When they combined Pt One and Pt two they made a special with a lot
of the deleted scenes from Pt One. For instance, there was a scene
with the fat hitman orders his staff to do something, then keeps
them waiting while he goes out and has a big lunch. Another scene
shows Tom's family nervously awaiting word after his kidnapping.
Both scenes could be deleted without changing the story.
I believe many movies are made with more than is needed, and stuff
gets deleted to speed up time and pace. Casablanca had deleted
scenes, for instance. Some independent films don't do enough of
that, and have boring scenes of a car driving up a curving lane
to the house.
