The 30-year-old girlfriend of 70-year-old Max Baer, Jethro Bodine of
"The Beverly Hillbillies," died Sunday of a self-inflicted gunshot
wound in Lake Tahoe, Calif.
According to a sheriff's spokesman, Baer called 9-1-1 at 1:15 PM last
Thursday after discovering Chere Rhodes unconscious in a bedroom,
suffering from a gunshot wound. She apparently regained consciousness
and told deputies she was trying to kill herself. A handwritten
suicide note found at the scene confirmed that, cops said.
Rhodes was flown to Renown Regional Medical Center in Reno where she
was placed on life-support. Her condition did not improve and she died
Sunday after her family requested she be taken off life-support.
No foul play is suspected.
Little known facts -- Baer also dated the late Sharon Tate, and
Victoria Principal.

I'm trying to figure out why his left-handedness was mentioned in your
title.
Just thought I'd throw that in. :-) It's not connected to her death
and their relationship.

Do you enjoy being the object of ridicule? You get it often enough. I mean
obviously you're an attention whore with these posts but really, does any
attention, even bad fill some hole in your life?

I just post the low end stories others don't. Sure it's not the latest
next-day ratings and television show development news others expect
from elitists here. It's just some tabloid stories and odds and ends
(Max at 70 having a 30yo gf is odd enough... but she killed herself
which makes it a little more odd). And if you don't like it, don't
read it. Simple as that.

Perhaps you would have preferred me mention his Hugh Hef-like
lifestyle and porn movie production skills in the subject line
instead? lol I swear, you smug, sanctimonious guys here are like the
dips at Fox News (nothing the other side does is right; damned if I
do, damned if I don't).

Now that you mention it, some hole being filled might actually stop the
drivel.

That WOULD have been more interesting, huh?

I was just asking a question which I notice you didn't answer. Doesn't
matter to me what you post. I just notice most of the "discussion" you
generate is people ridiculing you.

To answer your question, no, no hole is being filled. It's getting the
word of celebrity news out there beyond the people who traffic
(specific) gossip websites for further discussion. Yes, the discussion
of myself sometimes side tracks my original intention, but that's the
way it is. I'll be a lightning rod if it gets at least one person to
say "hey, that was interesting". I'm surprised at some of the threads
I start that "catch fire" (the Sean Young drunk SAG heckling one comes
to mind). When I post stories from the world of Canadian broadcasting
industry in newsgroups, I get told "who cares?!" because it doesn't
impact the U.S. readers personally, which the rec.arts.tv newsgroup is
mostly targeted to. But, when people like Rich A. get thrashed for
saying "I can say what I want; we have something in America called
free speech", I remember that this a world-wide bulletin board and
perhaps a someone-- probably in Canada-- would like to know what a
Canadian broadcaster is doing [people on the IMDb also think their
message boards are U.S.-exclusive posters].
If you'd rather go to the source:

* Canadian broadcasting industry news:

If any of you want to post stories first, go ahead. I know it's not as
glamourous as "pre-ticket sales of the new 'Hannah Montana Movie'
joining the leagues of 'Harry Potter' and 'Star Wars', but I'll
continue to try my best to cherry pick the stories that might be of
general interest. :-)

Taylor is from another galaxy I'm commencing to realize.
It's the Wayne Newton style mustache that does it. Maybe I should
grow one..........on second thought no way.

That returns to a previous thread I started asking if you HAD to live

popular. Interesting insights into people's inner desires, too. ;-)

why did you do this?
answer: i woke up one morning and found out
i was a 70 yr old Jethro's gal pal
i think that's the real problem...

Hazel or Bewitched or even I dream of Jeannie. All filmed on the
Columbia Ranch outside of Burbank. Each house was right near each
other. I loved Mrs. Kravitz. And if I did live their Abner and me
would've been tight. We would've got a keg of beer and got drunk
while making fun of Gladys.
Hasn't he been doing this for years without any results?
I'd be interested in Canadian broadcasting gossip. Feel free to post
away and ignore the people who make snarky comments..
So who is Peter Mansbridge banging these days? ;-)
Bwahaha! You got me with that, you prick!
I'm so saving that link to use on special people.

I've seen that before but at least you proved those who ridicule you right.
You deserve every bit of the crap people dish out at you. Welcome to the
kill file.

Beelzeflubba is left handed..
THANKS!!! And hell if I know. It's hard to keep up w/ that tomcat. He
trumps Tom Brokaw in the Casanova dept. The guy gets more tail than
Rick Mercer!
;-) Yep. hehe I got tricked months ago and then lost it. I found it
last night and decided to tuck the URL away for those special buggers
who deserve it. Oddly enough, when you do a Google search on the link,
it's all Russian sites that site it. It's good for any 'Family Guy'
fans who saw the episode where Brian the dog sang the song while time
travelling with Peter (Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up").
And if you clicked on that link, you deserved the annoyance for being
so unnecessarily bitchy. I hope you did. And I don't care about kill
files. I use Google Groups. No kill files here. But thanks for
playing. OOPS! I guess you aren't reading this then.

Not sure what you think is so annoying about a YouTube video of a guy
singing an old pop song.

I read some interview where he said he wouldn't stop trying until it
happened or he died. Anything after 70 is borrowed time, the clock is
ticking.
Seeking to open a casino seems like an aspriation that's slightly less
amoral than selling heroin to 8 year olds.
C'mon in 'n set a spell. Piss away yer soshul see-curity check 'an yer
