This is probably the series finale as well because of sexual harassment
claims.

A gameshow to promote Mormon families adopting outside their color
scheme if they cannot have children of their own?

It only goes 7 days total, so next Sunday's Victoria wouldn't show up
'till tomorrow.

Let's see
Victoria and Abdul
Victoria La Mala: Si Va A Doler Que Duela
Victoria on Masterpiece
Victoria Wieck Genuine Gemstones
Victorian Cake Co.
Victorian or View in Colorado
Victorian vs. Modern in PA
Victoria's New Wallpaper

Victoria on Masterpiece has a dozen shows listed, including 3 tonight,
but I have no idea what I'm looking for. Tonight's episode titles:
The Queen's Husband
Engine of Change
Young England
Mummy on the Orient Express

No - Coleman is good for seasomn #2. From the sounds of it, she may
also do season #3. They'll recast at that point.

"Victoria" seems to only want to use two actress for Victoria. "The
Crown" is pretty much committed to using three different actresses for
Elizabeth (i.e. a new actress every 2 seasons).

Of CBS's Sunday night shows, its 18-49 rating is the same as NCIS:LA and
much better than Madam Secretary:

http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/renewcancel/cancel-bear-vs-cbs-week-12-madam-secretary-will-extend-its-term-into-next-season/

NCIS: Los Angeles 0.96

Wisdom of the Crowd 0.95

Madam Secretary 0.67 (CBS's lowest-rated show by far)

However, CBS owns NCIS: LA and Madam Secretary has streaming and
syndication deals, according this write-up.

MADAM SECRETARY is in that final hour of primetime (or even beyond it
during football season) where ratings are lower.

> However, CBS owns NCIS: LA and Madam Secretary has streaming and
> syndication deals, according this write-up.

...and that is the big difference. These two shows have more episodes
and syndication level deals whereas WISDOM OF THE CROWD was floundering
in its freshman season. MADAM SECRETARY is all but guaranteed a final
season (even if shortened) next year to fill out the portfolio of episodes.

Has CBS promoted Wisdom of the Crowd at all? I'm not watching anything
else on CBS so far this season so I wouldn't know. It seems to me that
they pretty much washed their hands of the show after the abuse/assault
allegations came out. I didn't realize there were five women now:

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/wisdom-of-the-crowd-canceled-jeremy-piven_us_5a1c8341e4b0e2ddcbb20ff4

According to this, Piven tweeted on Nov. 27 that the show would not
continue.

It got a lot of hype early on...and even once the ratings started
rolling in and looking very bad.

Yep, I think that was the final nail in the coffin for this show.

Not getting any sort of 'back nine' order had to be seen as a
cancellation notice.

Interesting. Of course the Arizona Football Coach that was fired after
a sexual harassment investigation found no evidence against him also
passed a lie detector test. I guess such test results don't matter.

Playing devil's advocate, I suppose an actor that was drunk or high on
cocaine when he groped women would pass a lie detector test later simply
because he wouldn't remember what he had done. Plus, lie detector's
don't detect lies, they just detect nervousness...so people who are
nervous will fail no matter what and people who can *act* calm can pass
even though they are lying.

Thanks. I ... either saw them all or bailed before the end. In any
event I had no interest whatsoever in another season of it.

And yet still better than State of Affairs.

That's not how it works. If you have a lie detector test and fail then
you are obviously guilty. If you have a lie detector test and pass
then you may still be guilty so it's probably best to assume you are
guilty. Whic is what it sounds like happened with the Arizona Football
Coach if there was an investigation and he was found innocent.

Oh, I know it's not definitive. I just thought it was interesting that
Piven would do this. He certainly appears not to believe that these
events happened. When it was just the original complaint, by a D-list
actress, I was dubious. With several more, there must be something to
it. Did a lot of men assume that groping behavior was acceptable?
Probably. Still, I really enjoyed him in Mr Selfridge and am sorry to
see all this come up.

I've liked some of his past work as well and I hope the current spread
of black balls can be cured in a satisfactory way for both sides that
doesn't involve death sentences.

So it was "We're going to investigate. If we find that you're guilty
we're canning you. If we find that you're innocent we're canning you
because we might be wrong." So why bother investigating at all?

Maybe just so they'd have some 'justification' for getting rid of a
mediocre coach? Whatever the case, they certainly don't have
justification for firing him based upon what they supposedly fired him for.
