LOS ANGELES, September 16, 2003 – FX is featuring three new shows
during the “Friday Night Fix,” a two-hour block of unscripted original
programming, which will begin Friday, September 19th.

The first show, The People’s Champions, previously aired in sneak
peaks when “Friday Night Fix” first began but will now air as a
regularly scheduled program beginning September 19th from 10:30-11:00

will air from 10:00-10:30 pm et/pt, and again from 10:30-11:00 pm

in sneak peaks, will premiere as an entire show from 11:30-Midnight.

The entire “Friday Night Fix” block began on August 1st with
Driveshaft, Trash to Cash with John DiResta and The Hitchhiker
Chronicles. Mixed in throughout the two-hour block were short two to
three minute segments of series Hurt Bert and The People’s Champions.

Below is a description of the three new shows being featured:

The People's Champions (Premiering September 19th) – Regular people
compete to become champions of bizarre and entertaining events
including who can toss their putter the furthest in anger after
missing a simple putt, and who can curse the most times in 30 seconds
while caught in a road-rage inducing traffic jam. The People's
Champions is produced by Endemol USA (Big Brother, Fear Factor). David
Goldberg is President of Endemol USA, and the series is executive
produced by John DeMol and Jeff Boggs.

P.I. (Premiering October 24th) – Series that follows P.I.’s from
around the country as they solve crimes that police are unwilling or
unable to take on. Gavin Polone (Curb Your Enthusiasm) and Ed Barbini
are executive producers.

Hurt Bert (Premiering October 24th) – Comedian Bert Kreischer is
subjected to various comedic experiments that are either physically or
psychologically painful. Kreischer is executive producer along with
Mark Cronin (The Surreal Life, Beat the Geeks) in association with Fox
Television Studios.

The series below premiered when “Friday Night Fix” began on August 1st
and will continue to run through December:

Driveshaft – Two contestants in desperate need of a new car risk their
current junkers when they join forces with expert mechanics to
transform their cars into a variety of racing machines (boats,
chariots, mudboggers, etc.), culminating in a race in which the winner
gets a new vehicle and the loser gets the shaft. Thom Beers (Monster
Garage) is executive producer, in association with Fox Television
Studios.

Trash to Cash with John DiResta – John DiResta, with the help of his
brother Jimmy, present their comedic version of a home improvement
show, when they help people with little or no money by transforming
their lives, using trash and turning it into functional elements
throughout the house. DiResta serves as an executive producer, along
with Hallock & Healey Entertainment (Spy TV, Scare Tactics) in
association with Fox Television Studios.

The Hitchhiker Chronicles – Vehicles are wired with hidden cameras as
they travel through various parts of the country and pick up
hitchhikers who reveal their personal stories. Hitchhiker is produced
by Brass Ring Entertainment and Greystone Television (The Surreal
Life, Surf Girls).
