Does anyone know where I can download a high-quality copy of the famous,
classic & award-winning advert: Guinness "Surfer"? (It's the one with the
surfers, the horses and the sea, plus the excellent Leftfield track)

I was told that Guinness used to distribute it on their website, but it
doesn't seem to be there anymore. Does anyone have a copy lying around on
their hard drives?

Cheers

Peter

Try Kazaa - I did a quick search and got quite a few results.

Kazaa is riddled with Spyware and viruses by all accounts. There is no way
I'm going to load it on my nicely tuned PC. Any other sources to recommend?

The best downloadable copy I could find is on the CFC|Framestore website
(they did the Visual Effects)

http://www.framestore-cfc.com/commercials/guinness_surfer/

It's a 14mb Quicktime file.

If you need a high res copy, I suggest you contact either CFC|Framestore
or Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO ( http://www.amvbbdo.co.uk/home/index.html )
and ask them REALLY nicely about the best way to get one.

Hope that helps

BTW. You could have saved yourself some time by doing a quick Yahoo or
Google search for "Guinness Commercial Surfer"... that's all I did.

Thanks Moley,

I did a search for "Guinness Surfer" and didn't get anything useful (I think
I may have also searched for "Guinness Advert Surfer" - "Commercial" must
have been the important word!

Cheers geezer
