Which episode?
The only box-shaped portable AI in Red Dwarf I can think of is Talkie Toaster...
But hey, that might've worked:

Avon: Right. We've got to teleport down to the surface, shoot our way through
the Federation troops, free the repressed population, rescue Blake,
capture Servelan and destroy the Federation for good. Any questions?

Orac: Would anyone like any toast?

Hmm. Anyone seen that ad where the blonde bird drives to Paris to deliver
some slides? Could the recipient of said slides be Cally?

Josette Simon is a member of the RSC, or was, and has been in many
productions in the last 12 years including one of the witches in Macbeth
(the not-very-good-version with Bob Peck as Macbeth, about 12 years ago),
and as either the Princess or the other lead woman in Love's Labour's Lost
about 4 or 5 years ago. She was excellent in both as I remember.

- Yes! Also, the blonde bird is Rachel Victoria Roberts from Grange
- Hill fame.

Isn't Jan Chappel actually in Grange Hill as the Head teacher or something.
Although I only noticed Rachel's lines were redubbed when someone here
pointed it out. I'd assumed she'd had elocution lessons.

Servalan (what's her real name?) has a part in _White Mischief_ that
will raise a few eyebrows. Early on in the film she stands up in a
bathtub, with nary a stitch on and delivers a line something like:

"Doesn't anyone want to fuck me?"

Somebody posted recently that Blake's 7 is due to be repeated at last, albeit
on the UK Gold Satellite channel, and also that there was a short program
containing interviews with some of the original B7 actors. What I was
wondering was what they did after B7, and what they're up to now. I remember
the following:

Gareth Thomas (Blake) - was in a BBC drama called "Morgan's Boy", about a
Welsh sheep farmer

Sally Knyvette (Jenna) - was in Emmerdale Farm for a few years

Paul Darrow (Avon) - recently touring with the RSC (I think) as Macbeth
An ideal role!

Glynis Barber (Soolin) - was Makepeace in "Dempsey & Makepeace" - ITV cop show
and (more memorably!) as Jane in the TV version of the
Daily Mirror comic strip, which generally involved her
wearing little more than her underwear (if that)

Steven Pacey (Tarrant) - was in some crappy ITV sitcom where he played a young
vicar attracting the attentions of the young wives of
the parish

Josette Simon (Dayna) - recently in some BBC drama/film, but can't remember what

Jan Chappel (Cally) - allegedly currently in some UK car commercial, but I ain't
seen it myself

Most of the above were some time ago - has anyone got any idea what they're all

doing now? (Esp. Vila and Servalan - never seen them since). Are they all
crumblies?

Matt.

He's now in London's Burning as some bluff old Chief Fire Officer (can't
remember the exact rank). Also wossisname who played Vila has been in LB
a few times as Thomas' boss.

Did anyone see a series called 'Knights Of God' a few years back?

I think Gareth Thomas played the Prince's foster father. Anyone
know for sure?

Gareth Thomas has been a recurring character for several years in
London's Burning as some top boss character in the fire service. He
crops up in a major storyline a few times each series.

Jan Chappell has had a copule of wlak-on type parts in "The Bill" and
currently in a car commercial (the woman who goes off to Paris to do
a presentation and leaves her slides behind).

"Blake", "Gan" and "Servellan" have all voiced trailers for UK Gold for
their reruns next month.

I am fairly sure the second guy who played Travis (can't remember his
name) appeared with Rik Mayall and Adrian Edmondson on:

Filthy Rich and Catflap - he was the barman on the episode where
Richie decides to kill his own father.

Bottom - he was the bloke who gave Eddie money for the Falkland
war veteran's false leg.

If anyone can confirm this (I don't have my videos with me at the
moment) I'd be very grateful.

Does anyone remember that children's mystery thing Gareth Thomas
(Blake) did a while ago (possibly in the 70s?) called "The Children of
the Stones", on ITV I think. It was all about someone called Brake
(hehe, he didn't like to change his character's name too often),
played by GT, and his son, who drive to a small village in England,
where they notice that some of the locals are very strange. The
strange ones say "Happy day" rather than "Hello", and there is
something very odd about the stones which encircle the village.

I'd love to see this programme again some time. Anyone know if it's
been repeated, or if it's available on video?

Thanks
Geoff

Jacqueline Pearce/Supreme Commander Servalan/President Servalan played an
augmented Androgum called Chessene in "Doctor Who - The Two Doctors" c.1985.

If anyone has a tape of this, and a frame grabber, I'd appreciate
it if they'd grab the best frame and post it to alt.binaries.pictures.erotica.

*I'm* certainly curious...

Well, heres some more pretty useless info along the same lines...

Gareth Thomas, aparently, is doing the adverts for Blakes 7 on UK Gold.

Paul Darrow definately voicing a new car advert.. but all I can remember about
the ad is that there's a sand dune in it at some point. (sorry).

Jaqueline Pearce was, of course, in the 'kids' show Dark Season as 'Ms.
Pendragon'. Previously, she has been in another kids show, called
'Moondial'.

That was some time ago. More recently she's been touring in
"Shadowlands". Most of the cast have been treading the boards
frequently.

Saw Vila (forget his real name at the moment) in a bit part in a 1st season
episode of Girl from Tomorrow. He was a school board official or a TV
producer - I can't remember! - A guy in a suit, anyway.

Saw Running Late last night on CBC. Hilarious. Enjoyed it. (Didn't
recognise Cally).

How about Girl from Tomorrow. Anyone have an episode guide, background
on the actors, what are they doing now, etc.
