Knight Rider (Anyone remember the C-button)

Can anybody out there remember that KITT got destroyed (for the umpteenth time)
and got rebuilt as a convertible. KITT could become a convertible by pressing
the C-button.

This is currently a serious issue in my flat. Any replies, please.

Are you sure you don't mean the film "Knight Rider 2000"? In this, they take all
the KITT bits and put them into Michael's old blueish Chevy convertable.

I dont remember any _episode_ where this happened and definately no C
button :)

Yes, it's true. They made a big issue out of NOT letting MK press the
button until the very end of that episode when they revealed the truth.

I realize this is 20-years too late, but it's from part 2 of the 2-part Season 4 premiere episode, "Knight of the Juggernaut." In addition to the C-button, KITT also got Super Pursuit Mode where he turns into a Formula-1 type Trans-Am.
