Dingle's house
Butch is feeding the pigs, Looking out at the scenery. Lisa comes out
and is hopeful about them getting the house, Butch is quite depressed.
Lisa says they won't give up without a fight. Butch is worried about
what will happen to his pigs.

Cottage
Biff is asleep on the couch, Will wakes him up by coming down the
stairs. Says he has to pull himself together and if he loves her he
shouldn't worry about what people think. He says that's not the
problem, its what she has done to his friends, people he can no longer
look in the face, that he cannot stomach.

Dingles
Butch tells Lisa that since she has been there, the house is the
happiest plave he has lived. Zak comes out and is much brighter, he
says he has an idea and is going out and by the time he comes back, they
will own the house. Lisa goes to the van with him and Zak admits he
doesn't have any big ideas.

Cottage
Rachel tells Kathy about her unsucessful snog with Graham. She tells
her that since he is moving to Hotten then she shouldn't see him again.

Oakwell Hall
Michael and Tara are walking through the grounds. She is thanking him
from being around to talk to, she feels that she has succeeded in
getting Biff out of her system. Michael tells her that before her
father died he talked to him. He said that he was worried about how
Tara was coping and asked Michael to look after her. Michael says that
he told him that Tara was quite capable of looking after herself.
Michael also tells her that he thinks she will get over Biff.

Sugdens Farm
Zak comes to see Jack and Ned to see if they can come up with any new
ideas. Jack tells them that he faced the same when Frank evicted them
but they started again. Zak points out that he had the money from the
sale of the farm to start again. Zak says that he is going to go to
Lady Tara, cap in hand and beg her to take back the order. Asks if Ned
would go with him. Ned tells him that he'll get nowhere and Zak decides
not to go.

Kathy's Diner
Marlon, Betty and Kathy are all outside the new 'diner'. Eric comes
over, Kathy asks if he is going to wish them luck. He says that he will
send them down a vintage bottle of 1985 cyanide. Marlon is still
feeling sorry for him. Biff comes over and asks Betty if he can talk to
her. Betty turns her back on him and ignores him, instead walking Kathy
into the diner. Biff is left on his own.

Sugden's Farm
Robert and Andy are upset that Emma is leaving. Emma comes into the
kitchen and the phone rings. Jack answers it and tells them that it is
the airline and her plane has been cancelled and she has been put on an
earlier flight.

Oakwell Hall
Michael is leaving, and as he goes he tells Tara how much he loves her
and that he is always here for her. She waves him off, he drives off
(in a NEW Porsche, black, not blue). Then he stops and comes back and
suddenly asks her to marry him. He tells her that he knows how she
feels about Biff and he never expects that passion between them but he
can give her more things than Biff could, she would be financially
secure and be able to live in a comfortable lifestyle. It would be a
partnership more than anything. He asks he not to turn him down yet,
just to think about it for a while.

School
Rachel is sat in on the first staff meeting before Term starts. The
head begins by introducing the new members of staff, one of whom, Mr.
Clark, is late. When he arrives Rachel is shocked to see that it is
Graham.

Oakwell Hall
Zak's van comes up the drive as Michael is leaving. He asks for a word
with Tara. She tells him that there is nothing she can do or say, she
has no choice. He tells her that she can't need money, what's six grand
to her. To the Dingles its like trying to buy the world. He asks her
to say they can stay on the farm. She says that she can't. He tells
her she is a reasonable woman, couldn't she make one exception. He's
pleading with her. He's a proud man but he is begging, please. Tara is
upset and says sorry and walks into the house.

Primrose Cottage
Steve is cooking in the kitchen when Kim comes in. She is complaining
about Laura who is assessing the value of the stud by examining every
invoice. She says that she has had enough and wants out. Steve has a
cunning plan. They should steal one of the stud horses and sell it on
the black market and get the insurance money for it.

ADVERTS

Primrose Cottage
The most valuable stallion at the stud is worth 200K, Steve tells Kim
that they can get the insurance money and sit on the Black Market money,
put it in an account and move to South Africa and live in relative
luxury.

School
Rachel is handing Graham the maps and the plans he needs to get around
the school. She asks why he didn’t tell her that he was a teacher. He
said that he just gets all the jokes about short days and long
holidays. She says that she felt such a fool. He laughs. She tells
him that she was embarassed and she embarassed him. He tells her he was
flattered and that they should just forget about it.

Kathy’s Diner
It’s the opening, and a surprise party is waiting for Emma, and toasting
the new Diner with champagne. Lovely uniforms for Will, Kathy and even
Betty of red shirts and blue caps. Eric comes down and looks unhappy.
Jack pulls up outside with Emma in the car, he tells her that Kathy
wants to say goodbye. She walks in and they all shout surprise. Jack
makes a speech wishing Kathy luck in her new venture and Emma luck in
her new life. He tells her the plane wasn’t cancelled.

Dingle’s house
The atmosphere is tense over dinner, Zak arrives home, they all ask if
he has any news but he just sinks into the armchair. Lisa goes over,
Butch keeps asking him if they have the house and keeps saying that he
promised it would be alright. Paddy tells them that it isn’t the end of
the world, a family is about people and not places. Butch says that
Paddy doesn’t care about what happens as he will be fine he has the
money to rent a new place. He’s not even a Dingle. Zak chucks a mental
and throws Butch out.

Home Farm
Laura is getting a full audit done on the stud farm but says that things
are looking good. Tara isn’t listening. Laura asks if she wants a
drink and a talk. Tara tells her about Michael’s proposal. Laura asks
if she loves him. Tara explains that she is fond of Michael but loves
Biff. Laura points out that it would solve all of her financial
problems. Tara says she couldn’t do it for that. Laura explains other
people would do it for less. Tara asks her advice. Laura says that she
would follow her heart, which is what she has done before and it has got
her into trouble.

Kathy’s Diner
Emma makes a speech. She says how she will miss the Sugden’s and Robert
and Andy and how she would like to give them something that she knows
they have wanted and then she kisses them both. They run away. She
tells Will she will miss him and asks if he will come with her. He says
he needs his independence and likes it in Emmerdale. Jack comes and
tells her it is time to come to the airport.

Cottage
Biff is drinking lots of beer and watching the TV. There is a knock on
the door, Tara is there, he lets her in. She enquires whether he is
having a party. He asks why she has come round, she wants to know why
they are doing this to one another. He explains that he is like a leper
in the village. She tells him she had no choice. He tells her that if
that is all that she has to say then she had better go. She tells him
that Michael has proposed.

Dingle’s House
Paddy is blaming himself and thinks he should go after Butch. Zak
tells him to leave him be, he has to learn to stick together in the
family. Family should never fall apart.

Cottage
Biff asks why Tara is telling him about the proposal and has she said
yes. She says that she wanted to talk to him about it first. She needs
to know how he feels. He asks why. Tara starts to cry. Biff looks
like he is going to put his arms round her but then walks into the
kitchen and gets some tissues. She says that she still loves him and if
there is the slightest chance they could get back together then she
would. She tells him she is sorry for hurting him but he can’t just
stop loving her. He asks what she wants him to say. She says, she
wants him to tell her not to marry Michael. He can’t. She wants him to
tell her that he still loves her. If he says it then she won’t marry
Michael. He says he can’t cause he doesn’t love her, he thought he did
but he was wrong. She should marry Michael, they haven’t got a future
together. Tara walks out crying. Biff looks quite upset.

END

Please say he was lying so she would marry Michael and save her
financial situation…..please…..
