I watch EE on PBS in North Carolina, and right now (summer of 95, I think)
one of the main storylines is that Deb is finally confronting her
harasser, Stan Dougan. (yes, I know what happens to Deb)

Here's the thing - I just was idly flipping channels when an infomercial
for a product called "Microwise" came on. A Brit with a red bowtie runs
around for about an hour talking about these lovely plastic bowls that can
cook an entire salmon in JUST THREE MINUTES! Anyhow - he really reminds
me of Deb's boss Stan. He didn't exactly LOOK like Stan (hey, anyone can
have a nose job and a toupee in Hollywood) but that whiny tone of his made
me think about it. He was credited as "John Parkin" which could be a
completely fabricated name.

Yes, I spend too much time watching late night television.

I do not think so Jenny. This is the same guy that has been doing these
dam infomercials
for years. Think the first one I saw him in was the *Space Age* car
polish. Thats the one
where they shined up the car and then poured lighter fluid over it and
set it on fire.
Only trouble was that national consumer group did same test and burnt
the paint
off the car.

Could be his distant cousin though. They do somewhat look alike if you
squint your eyes :)

You're right! He looks exactly like that guy! I've been watching him
in EE for the past few weeks trying to figure out where I'd seen him
before! - and what a creep he is!

Cheers,
Jeff

Jenny,

I know what you mean. That fellow on the informercial is, to put it
mildly, extremely irritating (almost as bad as the guy with the big head,
Anthony Robbins). I can see the resemblance.

Here in Canada, courtesy of PBS Watertown, NY we are about two months
ahead of you in terms of episodes. Debs is dead, the lads have gone to
Spain, etc.
