And Kabin News opens with an apology this week: Despite having
advertised that pictures are available, Granada again haven't made any
press pictures available anywhere this week.
In the UK next week:
Gary gets a kiss; Steve gets a letter; Leanne gets moving; Mike gets an
offer; Sally gets a shock; Alma gets fed; Leanne gets embarrased; Gary
sees too much; Maxine gets a helping hand
And Steve gets a cunning plan. But will he get to the port before 30
June....
PLUS!! The Gazette has exclusive pictures of last week's
behind-the-scenes celebrations marking Betty Driver's 30 years on
The Street - and an even more exclusive, nay shocking, picture of
a radical change for a Corrie favourite (and this really is an
exclusive !)
PLUS!! A warm welcome back next week to Street writer Stephen
Mallatratt - former Street actor, one of the best Coronation Street
writers of the 90's and the man largely responsible for Roy Cropper.
UK PROGRAMME CHANGES: Because the coverage of the Canadian
procession of cars that passes for Grand Prix these days* is
immediately before Coronation Street, coverage of SUNDAY'S
Coronation Steet will start at least 15 minutes late - possibly
more depending on who the Ferrari Boys gang up on. Thank heavens
for PDC (shome mishtake surely ?)
* Forget scrapping grooved tyres, let's go the whole way and outlaw
re-fueling and get some interest back into GPs. It seems they are
all won in the pit lanes these days... :-(
In Canada next week:
Kevin decides to go awooing - he prepares to hand-craft fish cakes and
bake his own beans; Roy gets plastered; Les lets rip; Mike makes plans;
Nick thinks he has the answer; Tyrone gets the push; Hayley gets a hen
night suprise; Janice earns a few bob;
And it's Roy and Hayley's wedding day. But things don't go according to
plan...
In Emmerdale next week:
Bernice gets dressed up; Roy's on the move; Kathy gets a shock; Scott
makes a deposit; Laura lays down the law; Tricia Goes to Hollywood;
And Graham lives life on the edge - with Kathy looking on....
You can get the Gazette (for the UK news), the Mercury (for Canadian
news), the Weatherfield Recorder (the paper with all the local gossip)
and the Hotten Courier (news about Emmerdale) from The Kabin at the
corrie.net website (address and link below).

'Me mother knew when I'd failed me GCSE maths because I asked for
curry with me chips"
And the writer of the scariest thing I've ever seen in the theatre - the
stage adaptation of Susan Hill's 'The Woman in Black' (UK ratucsers may
remember the Beeb did a TV film of it which they showed at Christmas for
a few years, but it wasn't a patch on the stage one).
It's the only time I've ever screamed watching a play - I would have got
up and left, but I was too frightened....

lotsa luv, Heather xxxx
I absolutely *LOVE* 'The Woman In Black'. They showed it in a theatre
relatively near us (Swansea) last year, but we couldn't make it. :( I'm
glad you enjoyed it.

I think I know which bit that was! :)) We jumped out of our skins when
we saw that. Truly terrifying. Btw, do you know if it was ever
released on video? Thanks.
