He played David Barlow (Ken's brother) and I was about to ask if he was
coming back 'til my wife informed he (David) was killed in a car crash in
Australia.
But what is Alan Rothwell doing now? I've always thought he was a great
actor but haven't seen him for years.

Del.

The last time I saw him on TV was in 'Brookside' - that was quite a while
ago though.......

Chances are, he's probably doing rep work.

Watched that only this afternoon.

Dudley is Vince's father, who we only see at Dudley's daughter's
wedding, daughter being played by Naomi Radcliff. And the reception
was held at the same hotel as the one Mike & Linda used.

My anorak please.

Saw this a few years ago on 'Living' Nick Black I think his name was. An
excellent but tragic storyline involved in drugs etc died on a park bench

Nicholas Black - Heather's druggie husband. A long time ago! 1986,
IIRC.

Gray.

Of course! I remember him well now, very nicely acted too. Those were the
days, eh!! And didn't Heather do well. There is life after Brookside.

He briefly popped up in Emmerdale in the past year or so too, playing
a solicitor from what I remember.

His picture is up in the bar at the Oldham Coliseum.

Yes, he hosted Hickory House with Amanda Barrie. There was a clip on
the recent 'The Way They Were' show before Xmas.
