Looking for confirmation that an actress, Angela Crow(e), worked on
Coronation Street in the early years. If so, what character did she play?
And what has happened to her (the actress) in the meantime. Thanks

Yes she did...
...she played Doreen Lostock.

What a coincidence, the subject of Angela Crowe came up between ken
Wong and myself on Saturday night in #coro_street.
Angela played Doreen Lostock who shared the flat above the shop with
Sheila Birtles (played by Eileen Mayers) The characters were
introduced late in 1960 but were unmaned. By early 1961 they had got
names and moved into the flat in June 1962.
I have a brief summary of Angela's pre-CS credits but have no info
after she left CS, though I'm sure I've seen her in something.
And in addition to the list of Suicides from last week, Shela
attempted suicide but was saved by Dennis Tanner. She then went to
live with her parents.
Angela's character, Doreen, left top join the army as she wanted to
see the world.
