Hands up those who remember Mr. Papadopoulos, who employed Mr.
Swindley (Arthur Lowe) AND Miss Nugent, now Emily Bishop?
Doesn't he also own the Laundrette in the London soap?
Bob
Yep. For soap scriptwriters, there's only ONE Greek surname it seems -
just as a black character often gets called "Winston"...
I hope we see more of Pippa though...I could see her developing a crush on
Tyrone, but mainly I want to see Sally get her overdue, massive
comeuppance, and SOON!

Thought that was Sharon's surname in Birds of a Feather!
I remember the name being quoted many times by Swindley but I can never
recall ever seeing the character.
Anyroads, should you not be too busy looking after Bolton Wanderers to watch
telly soaps? ;-)

There are 12,000,000 sheep in Ontario.
Problem is 9,000,000 of them think they are people.
According to the Radio Times Guide to TV Comedy (a hugely useful tome) it
was Theodopolopoudos.

What, Bishop? Nah! I'm sure it was a Greek name--her husband, Chris,
was played by Peter Polycarpou (who also sang the title song in Love
Hurts)

I thought I was a pirate in The Adventures Of Ben Gunn! :)
> Isn't one of the storyliners called Lyn Papa.... or something similar?
By jingo, I think you may be right. Or maybe I was right in the first
place when I said the other day on the parallelpapadopoulos thread
that she is one of the Story Associates (beginning in August 2003).
We are only up to January 2004 on the CBC, so perhaps she has
changed jobs since then?
