For a short story I'm working on -- kind of a homage to All My Children --
I would like to incorporate as many soap opera cliches as possible. You
know, like evil twin siblings, kids who grow up literally overnight and
how if you tell somebody a secret the one person in the world you most
want not to hear it will be eavesdropping.
Please send me some of your favorites.

Hi Margaret, I was just wondering about this. The rec.arts.tv.soaps
newsgroup will be disappearing soon, no? I hope everyone has gotten the new
groups by now, but I always crosspost and always add the *other* group if
the original poster didn't. Do you know when r.a.t.s. will be gone? Is it
March?

The newsgroup "rec.arts.tv.soaps" is due to be removed on March 6.
I am not sure if every site will remove it at the same date, however,
and it is possible that some sites will retain it for months later.
Anyway, I advise all readers of r.a.t.s. to move to the other groups
(r.a.t.s.abc, r.a.t.s.cbs, and/or r.a.t.s.misc) before March 6 if at
all possible. That's where most of the discussion about your favorite
soaps will be held (and already _is_! :-)).

I haven't had access to the other r.a.t.s.*** groups yet. Hopefully,
if my site does remove rats on the 6th, they'll give me access to
the new ones...
Anyone else not have the new groups yet?
