Well,
Okay what happened to Matt and Missy?? Is J&J again going to be
given the token days a week (with these two days only marginal
airtime)? Damn, we were promised a storyline for them.
Anyway, everyone is so excited about Marcus. Well I did cheer
when I heard he would return. But then I calmly told myself
to be rational and realistic. A) Either they just mentioned him
since he is a Plastic Surgeon/Ear Nose and Throat specialist. However,
will not appear on the air. Just some mention that he examined Carrie--yet
as I said we won't see him. B) Richard Biggs will get a toke under
5 lines, show one or two episodes, and won't resurface for another
3 months to repeat this. Sorry, I have no faith in those lying BASTARDS
at DOOL. They have treated so many acters and actresses so poorily,
they have promised us so much. Yet they never come through, the show
continues to revolve around a certain few, and the deserving folks
suffer--hence we suffer. So, don't get too excited about that
slight reference to Marcus, it means nothering, and even if we see
Biggs, for what pathetic little it will be, for me it would be even
more insulting to Richard, who is deserving of SO MUCH, than if
he were not on at all.
Tim was on again. And YES Boysie, the actor and the character is
so much better, and for me more pleasing to my eye. Also, his
hair has been trimmed, and his sideburns toned down--two complaints
about him from before. As Boysie stated he seemed more comfortable
acting in the scenes, and the little we saw of him he was MUCH MORE
believe than Muldoon. [A while back on the Comedy Channel I caught
an old SNL Sprockets sketch--now on Sprockets it's the time we
dance...Dance Germany!--well the actor who played Tim, was one
of the Sprocket mod dancers, all in black, very existentialistic].
Austin was pure torture...Puke. Austin paying the Bills? While
I am at it. How did Austin get all the 50 Grand right after
the fight. No check, nothing, all in cash. And with such a
amount of money, wouldn't he have to pay tax? Not to mention that
minor fights such as that no way brings in much money. Maybe a
couple grand but not 50. I know we are supposed to cheer for
him, but no matter what a jerk Roman has been, I wish Roman
throws the book at him, and he goes up the river, never to
grace my television again, or at least to later come on but
with a different actor.
Carrie. Being a lowly, and unemployable Medievalist/Classicist, I
know nada about chemistry. But wouldn't someone who had serious
acid thrown on her face, be more bandaged up. Also, I would also
think that their would be concern about pullminary damage, since
she could have inhaled some of the acid. To me her bandages seem
pretty feeble for such a serious mess.
This 17 yrs. sucks...I figured all this took place way before I
started. Now, supposedly Marlena was seeing Roman when she was
treating Kate. This does not jive with the show's history. Then
there is the age of the twins, so I guess they had to make
what actually was 10 years ago 17. Anyway, see how stupid aging
the twins was. It completely screws up everything. This Kate
stuff is almost indentical to Carly and Nikki. Another long
lost mother. I love Kate. The actress is impressive. But I
would have preferred that her story occurred earlier on
and that all this Marlena stuff had not been rewriten. What
of J&J and Kate? We were promised that they would be in
the foreground on this, but alas, they again or forgotten.
Also, earlier on it was Julie who knew about the house,
and the mysterious owner. She should be involved with this.
So much could have been written. Alas...thank Ken Corday,
Tom Langan, etc. FOR NOTHING.
Spudnix--Oh, so again where's Jenn? Did Messy tell the
producers she was sick of only serving to kiss up to
Carly, and because of this punished [just kidding,
geez]--Peel.

I agree that all the rewriting really sucks. So do you think Roman has been
back since Sammi was 13 1/2 (a year and a half ago when he really came back)
or when she was about 9 (which is how old she appeared to be when she was
told he was her father)? This is an important point, it seems to me.

The show's history and what the writers create have not
been related for some time.
BTW: Are you wearing a bronzer? Because I *know* you didn't get
that tan in Pango Pango. (In case you forgot again, it was me
who was with you.8-)

I thought that was rather screwy myself. I believe Marlena met Ramen in
1981-82 - no earlier than that. I assumed when Kate mentioned something
about Marlena 'seeing a cop' that perhaps they kept in touch after the
infamous 17-year-ago incident. Kate was not around, or you'd think she
would have said "oh yeah, back when you were seeing that cop and you were
dead but it wasn't you" since she WAS 'dead'(death #1 of 3 or 4) for a
short while a la the Salem Strangler. But since WHEN is consistency important
to TPTB?

Kate said something to Marlena (while in Marlena's office) like:

Well, we all know she wasn't seeing Roman 17 years ago. But...if Sammy's
15 now, then 17 years ago, Marlena *must* have been seeing Roman. I guess
that's why they think it will fly. In soap opera years, I'm surprised
it's only 17 years and not more like 40.

Hey! I was just replying to this post and my machine crashed. If two
replies somehow manage to show up...please forgive me. :)
Anyway, ShawnD was younger than the twins...probably by about 2 years.
But...I've noticed Scott Groff's name in the credits the last couple of
times they ran the credits so I guess ShawnD will be showing up again
soon and it will be the same actor. Afterall, ShawnD needs to stay
close in age to Nikki these days since that's who he supposed to
interact with -- as they are best friends. If he were to interact with
the twins, it would just confuse matters. :)
