"Don't Blink" was created to fill a gap in the mailinglist world. Many
current and ex-RATSers were tired of sifting through postings about other
soaps in order to find posts about Y&R/B&B. Therefore, I set up a mailinglist
devoted to discussion of these two soaps which is now over 500 strong!
The list is fairly high traffic (averaging 20-30 messages per day), but all
mail is limited to discussing various aspects of these two soaps. These
topics may (and do) include: updates for both soaps, spoilers, cast changes,
storyline suggestions/complaints, gossip, and lots of personal opinions
about what's going on in Genoa City and LA! This list is unmoderated, so
anything you post is up to you, so please keep things relevant to the
general topic at hand (i.e don't post about other General Hospital or how
you're having a particularly bad day at work). This is a really fun list
with a lot of lively, interesting discussions! If you would like to
subscribe to the list or would like more information about the list, send
e-mail to the following address in the following manner:
Send mail to: dblink-...@umich.edu (or directly to me ge...@umich.edu)
In the subject line: SUBSCRIBE
In the body of the message: SUBSCRIBE your e-mail address
Please follow this format as it is the most efficient way to get your
request filled! :) Also, do not put "<>" around your e-mail address as
this slows things down considerably. Thanks!
Before asking to be subscribed though, you must agree to two conditions:
1.) You will remember the e-mail address under which you subscribed in case
you need to be unsubscribed at a later date. (I can only unsubscribe you
if you give me the same address under which you subscribed initially)
2.) You will not send "unsubscribe" requests to dbl...@umich.edu. The
reason being is that if you do this, your request is mailed out to all
500+ people on the mailinglist and it is unfair to clutter their mailboxes
with mail that is irrelevant to them.
If you would like to join us, please mail me asap and I will add you to
the list. :) Remember, there are two addresses which you can use to
subscribe:
dblink-...@umich.edu AND/OR ge...@umich.edu
Oh, one more thing: please be patient with any requests that you send to
me. I have to subscribe/unsubscribe you manually and, although it usually
can be done on the same day you request, it can take up to three days when
I get really swamped. I appreciate your patience. Enjoy the list!
