Good points that Jake didn't jump anywhere with Sloan. and what an idea to
put Lorna and Jake together, some of the same business interests would be
a good start contrary to joe lawyer (kevin)

i really like jake. he's a great character. aside from raping marly
he hasn't done anything any worse or any more unforgivable than anyone
else on the show has. as for raping marly, that's between him and her,
and since she has come to terms with it and forgiven (somewhat) him for
it and he has sought some therapy for it, i don't think anyone else should
use it against him (jamie). jamie, paulina, olivia, amanda, rachel, iris,
and so on have all done things just as bad as anything (aside from the rape)
jake has done. if all those people had had as much garbage dumped on
them at every turn and as much resistance to reforming, they'd be no
better off than jake. so yes, in a way he does 'do it to himself', but
no more so than any other character, and he's had plenty of help at
failing...
