Terry's mother (Jennifer Warren) - is she the same Warren who sang Love Lift Us
Up Where We Belong, Right Time of the Night (I love that song), and the duet
with Bill Medley for Dirty Dancing?
Warren's husband is so gorgeous (much more gorgeous than his unfunny real-life
son, Matthew Perry, ever was) that Warren falling for some gawky, pushy
tell-all tabloid reporter makes absolutely no sense.
Morgan Fairchild looks exactly the same now as she did 20 years ago. With the
help of lighting and gauze, of course.
Is it just me, or does the Caswell (Farrell's character) home look *exactly*
like the Karen Fairgate/Mackenzie home from Knots Landing? The kitchen, the
living room, the dining room. Exactly the same.
The whole Lloyd Bridges are disposable characters with disposable stories (and
the director should be ashamed for those cleavage shots with Mimi
"exercising").
I can see why the show did not find an audience. There are far too many
characters and trite plotlines.

I taped it, but haven't watched it yet, but plan to do so tonight. I
was surprised to see how little Morgan F. has aged though. If she's had
work done (and I don't know if she has), she's got awfully good surgeons.

That's Jennifer Warnes, Peter. (For a while she seemed to be the movie theme
queen, didn't she? I guess she's long since passed that mantle to Celine Dion
[who should at least have to do time in purgatory for that horrific Titanic
song, which still makes me want to run screaming from the room whenever I hear
it]).

Thanks.
Did you get to watch any of Paper Dolls this weekend?
Roscoe Born joins the show eventually, doesn't he?
The home of the Lloyd Bridges family is eerily similar to the Carrington
mansion. I keep picturing the crew sneaking onto various primetime soap sets.

I don't see him listed at IMDb here, which is the TV movie, listed as 1982,
and apparently then considered the 2 hour pilot.

But he is on the full list of the related 1984 series.

I TiVo'd the show & haven't watched it yet.

"I might repeat to myself ... a list of quotations from minds profound - if
I can remember any of the damn things." - Dorothy Parker, "The Little Hours"
I'm the newbie, in shock to actually find a conversation somewhere about
Paper Dolls. I have the original '82 movie starring Joan Collins, I
enjoyed the pilot and I vaguely remember the show's run. I believe
singer John Waite also joins, portraying himself ~ he becomes
Nicolette's boyfriend and puts her in a video. And Lauren Hutton doesn't
come in until near the end, right? I think the show had enormous
potential but was shown too much from the older set's perspective, not
enough focus on the models themselves. For instance, rather than seeing
Taryn actually arrested in her drug scandal, we see Lloyd Bridges
reacting to the tv news. I agree there is way too much going on and
there are far too many extraneous characters. It'll be interesting to
see how it all unfolds. :)
That's exactly it. The first ten minutes were very good, but then we
had to meet everyone's father and husband and brother-in-law and
cousin and housekeeper. It got too hard to keep track of. Morgan
Fairchild was very good as Racine, the show should have concentrated
on her dirty business dealings and bed hopping.
