I haven't watched it yet today, but I will give you the scoop,
probably later tonight.

OK, we start with Carly helping Craig with his boutonniere and him
gazing at her, with Ro walking in and noticing. Ro didn't say
anything, but then as they exchanged vows, Craig said his and she
started hers, then told Craig that she loved him and didn't have any
regrets, etc., but that he never once has looked at her the way he
looked at Carly a few minutes ago.
They went in the back to talk and Craig finally admitted that he
hasn't been honest about the accident four years ago and explained how
panicked he was, that he truly didn't mean to hurt her, but the faster
she drove, the more he felt he had to stop her, that he felt that she
was about to take Johnny from him. She said she wasn't, that it wasn't
about taking Johnny away, but giving Johnny back to Jennifer (who
thought he had died). She also admitted that part of her willingness
to forgive him was rooted in trying to recapture that brief time when
they had remarried and were adopting Gwen's baby (which was actually
Johnny) and were a family and this was her chance to have that again.
She said she finally felt free now, with him admitting the truth, and
announced that she had been offered a position as CEO of a German auto
company, but had turned it down (or planned to), but was now going to
take it and fly to Germany that night. Really, that should have played
out over a few episodes, but they always seem to get the timing wrong,
rushing to jam in the actor's final scenes in one day and poof,
they're gone. Ro explained to Carly that it wasn't about her, really,
it was about wanting to start a new life, that she wasn't angry, and
Carly should never settle, she should go for what she wants.
Ro said goodbye to Johnny, gave Craig a long, slow kiss, and walked
out the door. Goodbye Cady and goodbye Rosanna Cabot (I suspect the
show will consider this the character's wrap up), both of you were an
important part of ATWT.
Katie announced that she is selling the house. A realtor came by, Brad
popped in and threw a fit, a few pictures and chairs and the realtor
took off. Henry showed up and Simon said that Katie can't live there
anymore; it's a good thing to sell. Brad was angry, but Henry agreed
with Simon, that there are far too many memories there. Simon and
Katie left for the reception, leaving Henry with the baby. Brad kept
pleading with Henry for the use of his body one more time.
Jack arrived at Metro to announce to Dusty, Janet, Terri, Katie and
Simon that the wedding didn't happen. Jack asked Janet for the dance
he promised her and they started dancing. Henry showed up with the
baby and Brad, and had one of his arguments with Brad in front of
everyone. Jack was stunned, but began to believe him. He told Janet he
had to leave, but being the jackass he is, didn't explain to her, or
let her in at all, just one of his, "I can't talk about it," excuses
and he ran out. Carly was just coming in the door, so of course, she
just had to follow him.
Simon convinced Katie to share a dance and Brad begged Henry again, so
that he could have one last dance with Katie.
Jack went to Brad's grave and begged him to show up. He couldn't
understand why Brad is communicating with Katie, Henry, and Simon, but
not him, the person who killed him. "Don't you have anything to say to
me?" No, Jack, because he doesn't blame you. Carly showed up, of
course.
Back at Metro, Dusty asked Janet to dance and, in a great use of
music, dance to John Mayer's "Gravity". God, I love that song and it
created the perfect mood. Terri looked on, jealous.
This was a pretty good episode, with the 2005 baby switch still
resonating and several stories starting to wrap up. The Carly/Ro/Craig
triangle is over, Brad/Katie is nearing the end (I suspect a Christmas
miracle where he appears to her to say goodbye, ala "Ghost,"), which
will free Henry from this nonsense, too, Jack and Janet's marriage
dying. It looks like they are headed for a Dusty/Terri pairing, but
I'd rather they go with Dusty/Janet, who actually have some chemistry
and are the same age. Dusty seems more like Dusty with her, more
lighthearted and him still being in love with Jennifer is much less of
an obstacle than Jack being obsessed with Carly. I also care more
about Janet finding happiness than Terri, who we don't really know
much about, except that she's a whiner.
KC
What happened? Hmmm... I'll tell you what happened. It sucked... and
then it sucked some more. Toward the end, though, it REALLY got sucky.
There... how's that for a nice, neat summary??
;-P

wonderful synopsis)

Dusty and Janet are a great couple, and wow, she looked
amazing in that blue dress.
You are such a sweetheart! Thanks so much for this, it told me it WAS
worth catching at CBS' web site, which I did later. Sorry I'm so late
thanking you!
bj
LOL, Cory you are a mess! ;) However, that IS my opinion of most
every episode these days. Since Mick made his big revelation, my
stomach turns watching "World Turns". We've gone from ghosts to sci-fi
or fantasy, whichever they prefer to call it. Goutman should be
ashamed... especially considering how little time they have left to do
something good.
bj
Thanks, MG... that was very kind.
bj
Glad to help and glad you enjoyed it!

You know, I saw a weird thing about Mick's storyline the other day,
where the episode description for one of the days this week said
something like Mick is "sticking to his story" of being James. I can't
find it for the life of me, but it struck me as rather odd wording.
Time will tell.
KC
OH, if only... they would stick to it being a "scam" about James, that
would save TPTB some credibility. Thanks for mentioning this, I'm going
to hold onto this wish, and see IF it makes the show any easier to
watch. ;)
bj
It may have just been the wording whoever used to keep from spoiling
it, but we'll see. The bloody noses sure point to him having injected
far too much of the serum, but it could be that he has something else
wrong with him (maybe using the serum to try to cure himself) and is
trying to accomplish something before he dies. Clearly, this isn't a
long term role for Pelphrey, but I was hoping it would last until
September. As it is, I suspect it will wrap up in February, but I
could be wrong.
As usual, they've rushed the whole storyline, because it would have
been much more interesting to have Barbara be drawn to Mick, start
being seen out with him having dinner, get involved with him because
she's feeling younger and sexy, and have her friends and family
express concern that she interprets as them being judgmental. THEN
have her find out he's James, or pretending to be James. We could have
then seen her conflict between enjoying the attentions of a young man
and her suspicions. In the old days, this would have played out over
months. Mick was in town for about 6 weeks, airtime, before he
revealed that he was James.
I do love that CZP has had this chance to be center stage. She's been
the one veteran the show has been willing to use pretty regularly and
after her cancer battles, I'm thrilled that she is able to be front
burner and that she looks so beautiful and full of life.
KC
ITA about CZP! I've always been a big fan of hers, and I was delighted
to read the good news about her health that you posted recently, and to
see more of her on the show. Sorry I can't say the same of Pelphrey
[and Mick]. ;)
bj
You don't like Pelphrey? Or you don't like Mick? Or the way he's
playing Mick, or way they made him be James?
Personally, I didn't like the way TP played Mick for the first part of
this story, but now that he's James, he has more of a handle on it and
I thought he was exceptional on Wednesday (?), the day he and Ali were
in the church. I still don't like the direction of the character, but
I am intrigued with the way he plays the part now. And when he gets
thisclose to Barbara, they sizzle and I really want him to kiss her.
Does the show have a problem with *this* kiss now?! If he's going to
tell her that she was the love of his old life and he wants her to be
the love of his new life, well, he oughta kiss her. Just sayin'.
KC
I liked him on GL. He's just not doing it for me on ATWT, and that
probably has more to do with the story that is impossible for me to
invest in or enjoy, than his performance. Lets, just say I'm not as
impressed with him, as I was before this role.

LOL... well, I don't blame you for "sayin", if that's what you feel!
I'd do the same thing, if I was feeling the heat. :)
I'm hoping he will stick to Barbara, and not mess up Ali's life again.
She needs some happy time for a change! I won't tell you my other dire
wishes, since you & others are enjoying this storyline. ;)
Can't spare you all my wishes for Damien (sic) though... I want him to
DIE, DIE, DIE!!! ;)
bj
YES,YES,YES
Can't blame you there, but it's really such a waste, because Damian
used to be a more interesting character, more gray-area than mustache
twirling villain, but that's par for the course with ATWT. I'd have
rather seen a more subtle storyline where Meg becomes obsessed and
does things that just keep making her look bad, rather than Damian
actively setting her up. But the show, really soaps in general these
days, don't think viewers are sophisticated enough to follow or enjoy
that.
