She also played the second Kathy Phillips on Search for Tomorrow and
the fourth and final Mary Ryan Fenelli on Ryan's Hope.

Though she won few fans, I really thought she did a creditable job
following Kate Mulgrew on RH.
And I loved her GL triangle with Rick and Phillip/ (I'm remembering
that right, right?).
I always thought she had incredible presence, and could have played a
strong, long-lasting core character if given the chance. I found her
very attractive.
TIA

I have better :-). A classic Soap Opera Digest article from her time
on RH!
http://www.geocities.com/ryanshope75/articles/goulet80sod.html
Here is her grave information, with a pic
http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=26150613
Per:
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Academy/8073/forcast.html
"Nicolette Goulet played Dr. Meredith Reede from 1987 to 1989.
Meredith was married to Rick Bauer and she was Fletcher Reade's
sister."
Youtube clips of her time on GL are here:
http://glmemories.blogspot.com/2007/07/to-tell-truth.html
There seem to be several clips of her at the bottom of the screen too,
via links.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oL-abk8UHcA
Clip description: "Rick's wife Meredith is having a miscarriage.
Little does Rick know it's his best friend's (Phillip's) baby"
And the performers! Elizabeth Dennehey! Carl Tye Evans. Daniel
Pilon! Much younger Ehlers/Aleksander/O'Leary. Just great stuff.
I do recall her now and am sorry for her untimely death....much too
young.
You're right about how good Guiding Light used to be with all the
wonderful actors. I know Michael Logan always said it was the best soap
on because of the talent. I miss all those old characters now....it
just seems a shadow of itself with no real story or direction anymore.
I watch a little, but usually leave it when the music starts.
Thanks again for the sites.
Libby
Sure are. She was a great partner for Rick, and unfortunately, fell
into a rebound fling with Phillip. But boy, did that story bring out
the tears.
And she had great chemistry with onscreen brother Fletcher, too. Just
Great! There was so much story that could have been explored in that
relationship. It was just on the edge of being slightly weird at one
point, before they moved the story into different directions.

Absolutely!

I vividly remember the scene with Rick and Phillip in the hospital
hall deciding whether to save Meredith or the baby and how torn up
Phillip was, knowing the baby was his.

Those fabulous eyes of hers. I thought she was gorgeous.

Elizabeth Dennehy is on Medium tonight (saw it last night on a Cdn feed). Only
her voice...so far. She may be on again, I hope.

I saw ED's name in the credits, but never recognized her. Who did she
play?
MsLiz
I'm pretty sure that was her voice as one of the people in the "murder
circle"...at the airport. Maybe they showed her face in the original cut, but
edited it out? Trying to think of why she would get credit.
ED played Blake.

I think she meant who did she play on MEDIUM. But when Elizabeth Dennehy
played the GL character, had they made the name switchover from Chrissy to
Blake? ... They must have.

Yes, she returned to town as Blake Lindsay (a name no Springdingers
knew) and after a bit, it was revealed that she was Chrissy.
"In 1988, an adult Chrissy, now known as Blake Lindsey, anonymously
returned to Springfield after her relationship with her mother became
strained. Before her return, she had briefly been involved with Alan
Spaulding in Mexico and Alan sent her to Springfield to spy on his
son, Phillip (who had wrested power away from him) Hired as a PR agent
at Spaulding Enterprises. Blake befriended Johnny Bauer until he was
about to find out her true identity. While Alan had plans of regaining
control of Spaulding, Blake actually planned to double cross Alan and
keep power for herself, out of revenge for the way Alan treated her
late father. However soon she started to fall in love with Phillip.
One day, on a business trip with Phillip, a frustrated Blake got drunk
and apparently married Phillip's business partner, a sheik. The next
morning, however, she recognized the sheik as a barkeeper and realized
that Phillip set her up. Finally, after Blake got Phillip's confession
of his illegal takeover of Spaulding on tape and wanted to give it
Alan, Phillip’s Aunt Alexandra exposed her and forced her to cooperate
with her against Alan. When Phillip learned the truth, he bitterly
left Blake and, feeling guilty, she overdosed on sleeping pills and
was sent to Cedars where her former stepfather, Ed, discovered her
true identity."

She played the boss of the woman who drove her car off the parking garage.

Yes, on GL, but what about Medium?
MsLiz

Oh, I remember her, she was awful. I did not recognize Eliz D at all!
Thanks,
MsLiz
