Yes, and this isn't the first time. It's calling up disturbing memories
of Michael Zaslow. I hope she's just having ongoing dental work.

Maybe Colleen will comment on it in some soap mag.

Could she have had a minor stroke? Would that be causing it? It seemed
less pronouced then last time so maybe physical therapy is improving it. Or
orthodontia or other appliances in the mouth could be causing the trouble.
I wish the web sites would share this kind of information. It's hard not to
be concerned and not knowing what it is disturbs me.
I hope it is nothing nasty like this! I really hope it is novaMouth.

I thought it looked like heavy duty novaicane, as if she'd
had a root canal or some sort of repair work done. It
doesn't look like a stroke to me.

Yes, and it is freaking me out. I keep thinking of Michael Zaslow. I
really hope she's having some nasty dental work done, but it is long enough
now that I'm starting to worry.

I just rewatched and I didn't see anything to indicate muscle
weakness, in fact, with the sound off, you wouldn't know anything was
amiss. I'm taking that as a good sign.
However, even with taping out of order, it seems like she's had this
problem for awhile and it was worse today than the last time we saw
her (scenes with Paul in front of the little shops).
Her bottom teeth seemed odd and a brighter white. It's like she got
dentures in a too-large size for her bottom teeth. I hope it's nothing
serious and it is resolved soon. It's got to be frustrating for her.

Isnt it funny how our soaps affect our thoughts and lives... I too
thought of Michael- ALOT both with Colleen's speech-- and my own-- I
was diagnosed with Bell's Palsy over Memorial Day- My daughter thought
stroke ( her Gran had had a stroke leading to dementia) and I thought
of Michael....scared, worried, and feeling like I "had a friend once
with ALS" and then realizing my "friend" was an actor... who I just
greatly admired-- and I had had tons of dental work this year so....
yeah that too--- I have alot to be thankful for--- but just for some
moments-- I relived Michael.
I wondered about Bell's palsy in regard to Barbara.
How are you now? I know it is a long recovery process, but the two
people I know who have had it made full recoveries. It sounds
terrifying.

I have had several dental procedures that required multiple
visits over several weeks. A couple of them left me with a
temporary bridge that did not match my real teeth and an
odd way of talking. Since I did not go through the Zaslow
trauma and am apt to believe the best, not the worst, I can't
take the alarmist point of view that there is something direly
wrong with her.
Sorry to reply to my own post, but I just read that last sentence
again and it sounds quite snippy, which was NOT my intention
at all. I apologize. I'd cancel it but that never seems to work
for me. <g>
What I meant to say was that I am determined to believe it's
a small dental matter until (and may it never happen) we hear
otherwise since I want it to be such. Sorry if it came off as nasty.
