Does anyone else feel Sabryn Genet ( Tricia Dennison McNeil ) is the
most beautiful actress to ever appear on Y&R? She is without a doubt the
sexiest, most adorable actress to ever be on that soap.

Sorry but I don't agree. Although she is a very pretty woman and a very good
actress I would chose Sharon Case over Sabryn Genet. I also believe Eilene
Davvison is just as beautiful as anyone who has ever been on the Y&R. JMO.

Which is it?

I will agree with you that she is NOT the most beautiful actress on Y&R
right now, that honor goes to Sharon Case and Gladys Jimenez.

Everyone is different in their own unique way. I don't even notice
Sabryn's thin brown lines of character above her openings to her soul,
but I can see why women find them distracting.

Okay, I can hold back no more! I must share my eyebrow story.

Everytime I hear about SG's eyebrows (let's face it, it's been over a year
now), this uncontrollable flinch comes over me b/c I too had extremely thin
eyebrows for about 6 or 7 years.

When I was 21 years old I moved in with my boyfriend. We lived in Hampton
Beach, NH (very happenin' little beachside community, at the time anyway). Of
course, I had to be "lookin' foine" for the oft trips along the catwalk and
bakes in the
sun, so I made frequent visits to the salon next to my work. It was a full
service salon, so in addition to working the tresses they had tanning beds,
manicures/pedicures, massage, and inevitably, waxing.

The first wax session there I got a bikini waxing (it was also the last, OUCH
OUCH OUCH!), and got the eyebrows done as well. Well, b/c someone whom i'd
befriended at the beach recently, who incidentally was drop dead gorgeous, had
super-thin eyebrows, I went back for the second eyebrow waxing with the intent
of emulating her.

At first it took me a bit to get used to them, but I thought I was oh *so* glam
penciling on my brows like a super-model. That is until one day at a young
relative's birthday party I had a rude awakening. One of the little girls at
the party sat there and stared at me for the longest time while I was having a
conversation with another guest. Finally, she said (and rather loudly I might
add), "You know you're very pretty, but you'd look much better if you didn't
shave your eyebrows off."

OUT OF THE MOUTHS OF BABES!!!

I was mortified! From that point on (and after taking a good long look in the
mirror), I began trying to grow the 'brows back in. It's not that easy! It's
not as if you can just go without plucking them at all, and be presentable
anyway. Also, waxing/plucking after a long period of time starts to thin the
regrowth as well. It's taken 2 years, but finally they look normal again. I
realize now I went overboard, and that *for me* super-thin eyebrows take away
that framing effect, that thankfully I have again and actually appreciate.

Of course, i'm not saying that SG should do as I have done. I think she's
beautiful. Just thought i'd share my little story, and sort of put out there
that SG may, in fact, *not have* complete "control" over the thickness of her
eyebrows.

Sabryn Genet is just butt ugly. Her face doesn't even belong on the side of a
garbage truck, much less a television show. If she is the most beautiful
actress ever on Y&R then Y&R definitely has casting issues. Oh well, the show

Ratings? You lunatics who question my sanity are going to use ratings as a
judge for a quality show? Full House had good ratings, did that make it a good
show? Just because there are a bunch of idiots who watch a show (Hmm...Jerry

Face it, she's ugly. You asked for an opinion and I gave it yet just because

Question: When do opinions become mean-spirited trolling?
Answer: When they are written by Towerhill2.

Let's take a look at some of your note that raised everyone's ire, shall we?

opinion?

And no one ever thought you were anything other than the court jester...come to
think of it you aren't fit to polish the tassled toe slippers of the court
jester.

>but apparently anyone who does not

>with popular opinion is shot to pieces here.

Now you tout your venom as "popular opinion?" Wrong again Tower of Babble,
your attack was shot to pieces because it was nothing more than a moronic scud
missle. You only post notes in the GH threads, but you decided to invade Y&R
because you have some sort of sick hatred for Sabryn. No doubt you are a big
fat house frau who is jealous of her beauty.

>You people were probably the
>same
>ones against the Civil Rights Movement in the 1960's.

How dare you compare your pathetic tolling to one of the most important moments
in history.

Let me remind you and everyone else of what you said about the show we fans
have all gathered here to talk about:

People's opinions are always welcome here, but we never solicit bile from

Just a simple question: Why would anybody waste their time watching a show they
consider to be low-quality? And if you don't watch the show, why would you
waste your precious time posting to a ng you don't care about?

>Face it, she's ugly.

Not as ugly as your so-called opinions. There's a difference between
considering someone unattractive and outright calling them ugly. If you want to
be taken seriously, choose your words more carefully.

>apparently anyone who does not agree
>with popular opinion is shot to pieces here.

We disagree all the time. It's hostility and the word ugly I disagree with. I
teach my kids never to use that word to describe anybody, and it ticks me off
that people who use it make my parenting job exhausting. Not that I expect
*everyone* to teach their children that--Heaven forbid!

>You people were probably the same

Well, that was a brilliant conclusion. Some of these posters were even alive in
the 60's. And I'm pretty sure Martin Luther King would not approve of calling
people ugly, either. Just a guess.

I hate to butt into such a well attended lynching but I have to stick my two
cents in:

Whoever started this post used the same kind of gushing language to state
his opinion, (that this actress is attractive) as this TowerHill2 person
used in his objections. The fact that the original poster asked everyone's
opinion means that he has to accept everyone's opinion regardless of whether
or not they oppose his and regardless how vehement they are given.

Granted, TowerHill2 could have used softer language to make his point the
fact remains that Freedom of speech laws means he doesn't have to. I think
in fact that the strength of his objections was increased to balance the
overwhelming adoration of Ms. Genet by some posters.

I also think that the actress is strange looking not nearly as attractive as
75% of the actresses on Y&R but that's just my opinion, and I'm sure you'll
agree, I'm entitled to it.

Wrong, Spike. Towerhill2 used disgusting language and launched a personal
attack against Sabryn.

I'm the one who responded to Towerhill2, or as I have renamed it, "The Artist
Formerly Known As Troll."

Do you really think that any response should be accepted, no matter how it is
packaged?

>Granted, TowerHill2 could have used softer language

It was language, it was bile.

>to make his point the

Freedom of Speech is grossly misinterpreted. Try going into a theater and
yelling "fire!" Is that acceptable? Try shouting out obscene words in public.
Is that acceptable? Try threatening a public official with a violent act. Is
that acceptable?

>I think
>in fact that the strength of his objections was increased to balance the

Why should there be balance? What's next...all that Mother Teresa hate mail?

The difference between your opinion and Trollerhill2's is that you can
articulate it without resorting to gutter-talk.

I disagreed with most of your points, Spike, but I appreciate your clarity and
intelligence.

My oh My...It's amazing how those who can label my opinions as being immature
and vile can then resort to the language of a 5th grader (Ooooohhhh...I'm going
to call someone the Artist Formerly Known as Troll....c'mon get a life).
I find Danishone's interpretation of the First Amendment quite amusing as I am
sure he knows actually very little about its applications. Going into a
theater and yelling fire is illegal because it intentional creates a hazardous
condition. Shouting obscene words in public is actually not illegal,
Danishone, however excessive obscene banter may result in a charge of
disturbing the peace. Threatening a public official with a violent act falls
under federal law as it threatens national security. So, please, Danishone, or
shall we call you the Artist Formerly Known as a Lawyer, please tell me how my
"bile" comments about Ms. Genet falls under those categories and is not
protected under free speech? I also find your comparison of my negative
remarks about Ms. Genet to Mother Teresa hatemail particularly amusing.
Really, if you are comparing daytime television actresses to Mother Teresa, you
are spending much too much time in front of the television. For the sake of
this newsgroup, grow up and stop attempting to run the show here.

You think so? Now I would put Heather Tom way down the list. somedays
she doesn't look good at all, I think it is how they frame her face with
her hair. her face looks fat if they pull it up. My vote would be
Sharon first, probably Megan (Ashley), then Nikki, Jill, Leanna and
Cricket before I'd get to Trish (Sabryn) and Heather. I gotta give Nikki
and Jill credit for age, they are just gorgeous. Ascentia

I have a friend who is *very* sensitive about this. She says, "we are NOT
chickens, and our eyebrows are NOT feathers! We do not *pluck* them, we
*tweeze* them." She's a lot pickier than I am though. She tweezes hers
meticulously while I do nothing to mine. I know my eyebrows drive her
crazy, but personally I think it's kind of cool how they come together in
the middle to form one brow.

Not always.
Many women attest to the difficulty of growing overpucked eyebrows back.
Sometimes, especially with consistent overuse of tweezer, the follicles
become scarred; and the hair no longer grows back.

I've read articles where women complain that after one severe plucking,
the eyebrows NEVER grew back, except sparsely.
She could use brow powder, much more natural than a brow stick, and
"brush" some fuller eyebrows in.

She would look immeasurably better, as most people do with more natural
looking brows.

Sing it! I *wish* mine wouldn't grow back!

I *detest* my eyebrows....I've tweezed for over 15 years and they
*always* grow back!! I've tried waxing, but it's just a messy form of
tweezing, for me.

I've never wanted them *too* tweezed, tho....seeing an aunt who had to
draw in her brows *every day* grossed me out. :::shudder::: (And why
did she tweeze, THEN draw them in? Fashion? *sigh*)

I think severly over-tweezed brows were hot a few years ago, but I think
a more natural look is in, now, from what I've seen lately. If they're
over-done, even the thinnest of faces can look fat. Just what I *don't*
need! LOL

Sabryn's were just too severely arched, IMO. Lately, they look nice,
though.

Mine are more of a natural kind, but I still have to tweeze every day.
Price of beauty, I guess. :)

I've tried electrolysis but it takes a long time to catch every hair
during the varying stages of hairlife. But it has helped. I've often
thought of donating mine to science they're so awful. LOL.

I know what you mean. I only deal with the unibrow situation plus a
little bit of shaping.

I had mine waxed for a while, and apparently they're supposed to grow back
thinner and finer. If these are thinner and finer, I must have really been
in bad shape before! I quit doing it due to lack of funds, as well as the
appearance of wearing bright pink eyeshadow right after having it done. I
tried Nair once on them...fine for preventing Unibrow, but big mistake for
trying to thin them out. Be warned...

: I only deal with the unibrow situation plus a little bit of shaping.

I don't even worry too much about shaping. Just trying to prevent Unibrow,
and that takes forever and a day. Although lately, all this eyebrow talk
has convinced me to try and thin them out a little bit. Not very
successfully, though...

Well, I sure am glad you ladies come clean on the unibrow controversy.

You can try a little masking tape across the top of your lip--from across the
highway lanes, you'll look smooth as silk. And when you come to a truck stop,
you just rip it off and most of the hairs come off, too. If that doesn't work,
just buy them truckers a couple of beers, and they won't know the
