Y&R: The Malcolm thing

In landing the role of Malcolm, McCrary reportedly beat out some soap
opera vets. Marcus Patrick (ex-Jamal Cudahy, All My Children; ex-Jett
Carver, Days of our Lives) was spotted at the Y&R studio and there
have also been reports that former Passions' hunk Charles Divins (ex-
Chad Harris) also read for the role.

One of the worst casting decisions I've seen in a long time. What
were they thinking?

Marcus Patrick certainly would have been a closer resemblance to the
Malcolm we all remember. What a shame they passed over him!

He's a doppleganger all right but IRL.

I still think Devon had some insane input to get him the job. Does
anyone thing they will see the error and send him back to his
scandalous wife? I can't imagine who they will try to put him with as
a love interest! Yuck!! Could you imagine that he was once married to
Olivia? He is too young to play the role and I am sorry folks. No one
wants to say it but Shemar was an attractive man he is not; and this
guy could not have been Lily's dad. Get with it Y&R. This is not going
to work. This is obvious a bad hire. What do you guy think will
really happen with this?

I'm looking forward to it, because I'm a Sandra Bullock fan anyway.
:) Plus I like the real life story. I saw the RL woman [forgotten her
name] on TV recently.
