Hot on the heels of landing a guest spot on the CBS crime drama
Criminal Minds, former Guiding Light star Robert Newman has booked a
guest spot on another CBS series, NCIS. According to CBS Soaps In
Depth, the episode will air February 8.
I know there's always confusion with NCIS, NCIS:Los Angeles, the
various CSI versions, L&O: Los Angeles, etc. Vincent Irizarry
(ex-Nick/Lujack, GL) appeared on NCIS:Los Angeles a couple of months
ago and people in rec.arts.soaps.abc got all confused as to which show
he was on.
So, to clarify, Robert Newman (Josh, GL), will be on NCIS, the one
with Mark Harmon on February 8, 2011.
He was really good on Criminal Minds ("The Middle Man"); worth finding
online, but you'll have to dig around for it.

Glad to see him getting work. I had grown to dislike Josh so intensely
in the last years of GL that I tended to forget what a good actor
Newman is.
Ditto with Reva and Kim Zimmer; it's been a pleasure to watch Zimmer
on One Life to Live and be reminded that (in an ensemble piece where
she's well matched with people of equal diva status, like Strasser and
Slezak, and there's some balance) she's actually a lot of fun to watch
and does very good work.
