I know Lucinda has Sierra and Lily, but who is the third daughter and where is
she? Who are the fathers of all these daughters and is LIly the only adopted
one and if so why did Lucinda adopt Lily if she could have children?

Sierra, whose father is Estabon, the Monteagan guy.

Lily who is adopted, illegally, wasn't it? Anyone else remember when
Lucinda found out that Iva was Lily's birth mother?

And what's-her-name, a Monteagan war oprhan brought to Oakdale to work as
Tonio Reyes' maid or something. Lucinda, I guess, feeling sympathy
toward all Monteagans at the time because of Sierra, adopted her even
though she was already almost done with high school. She's now living in
New York and working at the UN as an intrepreter or something. She was a
good friend of Courtney's, probably lived at the Mitchell Center a while,
and dated some guy (was he black? hispanic?) she met while attending
Oakdale U.

Damn! I still can't remember her name -- she only left a few months ago,
too!

Wasn't it Bianca?

Bianca Marquez Walsh dated a guy you rarely ever saw named Zach.
She never lived at the Mitchell Center. You are thinking of former
illiterate runaway Kira Johnson who once dated Lt. Joel Higgins'
brother Cliff. Bianca's brother Pedro was a soldier killed in the
Montegan counter-revolution. She was adopted by both Lucinda and John
Dixon.

of spring, the fullness of summer, and the harvest of autumn... the
cycle of life is completed... What is true of nature is also true of

Yes, it was Bianca. But no one answered the question why Lucinda adopted
Lily when she knew she could have her own kids having already had Sierra.

I can't remember this. Maybe because Mr. Walsh was so old and he couldn't
have children. Was this ever addressed?

Lucinda's other adopted daughter is Bianca Marquez-Walsh, a Montegan
orphan whose parents were friends of Tonio Reyes, who brought Bianca to
the U.S. after she was orphaned.

But during Lucinda's first appearance on the show, when she and John were
on a commercial airliner together, she told him she had three daughters. A
few months later, Lily appeared as an only child. Then Lucinda sent Craig
to Montega to rescue the daughter of her "best friend" Mary Ellen Walters.
Surprise! Oh the shock! Sierra was actually Lucinda's dauger and Lucinda
herself was actually Mary Ellen Walters, living under a romantic assumed
name. Even though Lucinda had said she had three daughters, she only had
one. Then *presto* two. The third daughter was never mentioned again, as I
recall.

Years passed before Lucinda adopted Bianca, bringing her total number of
kids to three.

As for why Lily was adopted, perhaps Martin Guest was sterile...? I can't
remember that bit of history in any detail.

But Lucinda's back story has changed quite a bit over the years. At one
point she was supposed to have fallen in love with John when she was about
11 years old and he was a young internist who saved her mother's (remember
Royce's references to the evil Gloria) life. They showed a blurry
pseudo-flashback and everything, but that was never mentioned again.

And when Lucinda first arrived in Oakdale, she was a frail woman with a
terrible heart condition. She and John wrote a book together (a healthfood
cookbook? an excercise regimen?) for heart patients.

But the writers know much less about the show than the fans do, so history
is in perpetual rewrite. Oh well...

Zach was called Hey You for months, before his secret identity was
revealed. He was the son of an important Mafia family killed by Brock
Lombard's family. Zach testified against Phillip Lombard.

Then Hey You became "Hey, Who?" and promptly vanished.

Lucinda's daughter Bianca (Binaca) was shipped off to NYC to work for the
United Nations or something last summer. Is that who you're thinking of?

Lily was adopted by Lucinda and her second husband, Martin Guest.
Guest was sterile and so they adopted Lily from an agency that had
gotten her from a young Iva Snyder. Later Guest's business failed and
he committed suicide. Then Lily took the name of Lucinda's next
husband-James E. Walsh, whose floundering Walsh Enterprises
was snatched away upon his death from Walsh's inept son by Lucinda
creating a successful international management consulting firm.

You're the one repeating yourself, Bill. I posted the message once and
you've responded to it twice. Maybe there's a problem with your
newsreader...?
