IN MEMORIAM

Daytime star and writer Elizabeth Harrower, real-life mom to Days of Our
Lives's Susan Seaforth Hayes (ex-Julie), died on Dec. 10 after battling a long
illness. She was 85 years old. Harrower started her career with bit parts on
the TV series Adventures of Wild Bill Hickok (1951) and Perry Mason (1957). She
also appeared in several movies. Harrower penned scripts for The Young and the
Restless, Generations and Days of Our Lives, where she served as the show's
head writer. Harrower most recently appeared as Charlotte Ramsey, a comical
lush who pretended to be Jill's birth mother, on The Young and the Restless.

That's a shame. She was quite an adept actress; I was hoping she'd be back
someday. Perhaps she will get a posthumous Emmy nomination.
