him appears on page 35, listing his participation in a recent New York
musical festival. I was taken aback by his now gaunt appearance--he has
really lost a lot of weight, which makes me think, that perhaps he is ill.
Does anyone know?

JudeC, anytime you see these guys in person or sometimes with totally
different kinds of cameras, they almost always look different, thinner,
sometimes scarily so. Now, there are exceptions to the rule, as always! LOL

There really aren't any openly gay daytime soap actors. The most you could say
is that there are people who simply live their lives - don't use beards, etc.

I wonder if what Jude is referring to is the time PAS was sitting in
the front row at the Daytime Emmys with a man who appeared to be his
partner. I remember at the time, people were speculating if this was
his way of being more open, since obviously people would be asking,
"Who's that guy?" As you say, just living his life, sitting with who
he wanted, etc.

I have looked in that WEEKLY to refresh my memory, for sure, and I still think
he's fine, but I will agree that it is an oddly angled photo. He has always
been thin, a beanpole type, with a long neck - which is what is odd in the
picture.
If you think he's thin in that WEEKLY episode, I figure you didn't see him as
Casey on LOVING, did you? Because his most youthful soap role was much thinner
than Danny Santos!

I agree, I think it was the photo, no indication of illness. Some
angles are just better than others, and we haven't seen him in SPW in
awhile.

since it was in SOW, it wouldn't make for a good scan....that mag's print
quality is more like the National Enquirer than say SOD.
