again... I just love it when your character is back in action.
Anthony Herrera: James is traveling. Anthony's traveling, but will
return soon.

JanK_55 asks: How long do we have to wait before James returns to
Oakdale?
Anthony Herrera: I don't know. Not too long.

Anthony Herrera: There have been many. I think that the monk's robe
was a favorite moment.

JanK_55 asks: You're looking better and better all the time. How are
you feeling?
Anthony Herrera: Great. Just booked my new one man show in Mississippi
and all reports from Sloane-Kettering show "no evidence of disease."

Anthony Herrera: James is not a bad person. He's just misunderstood.

involved with?
Anthony Herrera: One that has more psychological manipulation.

Anthony Herrera: I have just returned from my home state of

you on the streets?
Anthony Herrera: Most everyone's very nice.

Anthony Herrera: She said she did. :)

Anthony Herrera: James has plans. Stay tuned.

Anthony Herrera: I love all my fellow Oakdale players. Liz Hubbard
[Lucinda], Colleen Zenk [Pinter, Barbara] and Larry Bryggman [John]
and I go way back.

this storyline dictated or your personal choice?
Anthony Herrera: Some of both.

Lyd_1 asks: What is your "one man show"?
Anthony Herrera: It is The Lunatic, the Lover and the Poet. It is
taken from a quote from Midsummer Night's Dream and talks about one's
imagination. The show is a series of stories and poems and is
basically a celebration of life.

Cute_GirL_21_98S asks: Will James and Samantha ever get together?
Anthony Herrera: I think she's pretty & sexy.

Judyrules asks: Do you feel that it is time for David and Paul to
meet?
Anthony Herrera: James enjoys his family and I think it would be
James' desire to be in collaboration with his sons, if everyone could
get along.

Anthony Herrera: It seems people are coming after James.

Anthony Herrera: I was Charlton Heston's stand in in a movie and
decided that I really wanted to be in show business and came to NY and
studied.

Anthony Herrera: George C. Scott, Henry Fonda, John Wayne.

Anthony Herrera: No.

Anthony Herrera: Not at all. I'm very lucky to work with the women
that I work with.

we can see a little of James before you're on-air longer?
Anthony Herrera: James will be back in April.

both adlib alot?
Anthony Herrera: Yes and no.

on ATWT or your one man show?
Anthony Herrera: Playing squash and seeing friends. I like to travel.

Anthony Herrera: I've worked with just about everybody.. but Don
Hastings

Anthony Herrera: The Dinah Shore show. One time I had to say that I
was bringing dinosaurs to Oakdale and I said I was bringing the Dinah
Shore show... and Colleen couldn't stop laughing.

Anthony Herrera: The Searchers.

life?
Anthony Herrera: What personal life? :)

Oakdale?
Anthony Herrera: With James, you never know.

Anthony Herrera: At this point, that's really personal.

actor?
Anthony Herrera: A teacher.

Anthony Herrera: Twice, yes, yes.

Anthony Herrera: Everybody but Ben Hendrickson.

JanK_55 asks: Did anyone ever pull a practical joke on you on the ATWT
set? If so what happened?
Anthony Herrera: Usually the work is too hard.

Anthony Herrera: Not since Charles Dickens.

Anthony Herrera: 1967

Anthony Herrera: If I'm in town. At this point, I'm planning to be in
Louisiana with my one man show directly after.

Anthony Herrera: Hopefully.

Anthony Herrera: I was, in real life, an English and Science teacher.

Angelsurfer asks: Is James going to find a new lady to get involved
with?
Anthony Herrera: James is always more than happy to encounter new
ladies.

Anthony Herrera: He is a nice guy; he's just misunderstood.

Anthony Herrera: I hope so.

Anthony Herrera: Is there another soap?

Anthony Herrera: For adventure.

Tyler_the_Great asks: Is acting like living a different life?
Anthony Herrera: Yes, the life of an actor is very difficult, but for
me has been what I originally wanted... one of adventure.

Anthony Herrera: James has mixed feelings about Emily as was revealed
in one of the jail scenes. He questioned if she does what is best for
her life.

your life?
Anthony Herrera: Work on ATWT and my one man show -- the schedule is
on my home page :-) I'd like to thank all the fans who have been loyal

Anthony Herrera: Paul is in Europe.

Anthony Herrera: I sometimes watch Y&R, and I try to catch ATWT as
often as possible.

Landdnurse asks: Are you and Emily going to become an item again since
she and David have split?
Anthony Herrera: James is always anxious to comfort young ladies in
distress ;)

GussRocken asks: With a name like Herrera, what is your background?
Anthony Herrera: My grandparents were from Spain on my father's side;
and English and Irish stock on my mothers. I was raised in Mississippi
as a protestant, which is an interesting background when you've got
the last name Hererra.

Anthony Herrera: Not at this time, but with the Internet, people can
keep in touch with me through my home page.

Anthony Herrera: Yes.

Anthony Herrera: No not at this time, but hope to soon.

Anthony Herrera: Tim Branigan.

Anthony Herrera: It's fun playing James.

Anthony Herrera: James has vast resources, due to the fact that he
comes from old money in Europe.

pleased to be doing some work with the leukemia society in
Mississippi.

Anthony Herrera: James is always delighted to cheer up ladies in

Anthony Herrera: No, I enjoy playing squash and Anthony is always

the play this time?

Anthony Herrera: Barbara.

Anthony Herrera: It's a racquet sport game.

JanK_55 asks: Let's clarify...James didn't come from money....his mom
just switched him with someone who did!
Anthony Herrera: Yes, that's true, but by the time James found out who
he really was, he had the mind-set of being rich and powerful.

Judyrules asks: Would you consider taking your play to a small
historical town in N.J.
Anthony Herrera: Yes. Please stay tuned through my website for a
schedule, and I will be booking shows around my World Turns schedule.

Hlsantana asks: I hear you have an interesting way of warming up for a
scene... could you describe?
Anthony Herrera: I actually got that idea when I worked on a film
called The French Connection. I introduced myself to Gene Hackman and
told him how great I thought he was in Bonnie & Clyde and that I was
studying with Stella Adler and he got me a job as a bit player on that
movie. I saw one of the French actors do about 15 chin ups right
before each take, which is a good way to get energy going and to
focus.

MundaGirl asks: Some fans have talked of reforming James so he could
be a legit resident of Oakdale..what do you think of that?!
Anthony Herrera: Sounds good to me.

Dark_Memory asks: I don't really have a question, I would just like to
say that your character really adds life to ATWT.
Anthony Herrera: Thank you.

Hlsantana asks: What was it like growing up in The Deep South in the
midst of so much racial strife? Where were you when Martin Luther King
read his "I have a Dream" speech?
Anthony Herrera: As a teenager in a small town and then at Ole Miss, I
found it very distressing when chaos erupted on my campus. I did not
understand the political struggle of the federal government versus
state's rights. And I feel that a lot of people were damaged and hurt
because of the struggle between the federal govt and Mississippi. I
was at a rally in Mississippi with Martin Luther King and Sammy Davis,
Jr., but was not a political radical, but as all social and political
transitions throughout history are difficult and even as a naive
Mississippi youth, I knew I was witnessing history in the making.

Anthony Herrera: Thank you. I would like to thank everyone for their
support and concern. I'm happy to say that health is good and I'm
