How ridiculous Brad's funeral is not attended by Kim & Bob, Emma, Meg, Lily,
Luke ... I know it is all about budget/scheduling, but it is really glaring.

And the whole tone of the show is all over the damn place. We go from
legitimate, somewhat affecting dramatic stuff to Henry getting his Whoopi
Goldberg on. The actor/character just has not been working for me in ages
(since before Geneva Swift). I can't take him seriously in a dramatic
storyline because the writers still have him mugging around as comic relief.
Ugh ...

Thank god Carly is back! She looked awesome too.

Katie also has a mother and a sister that were never mentioned. Carly looks
great.

For that matter, isn't Jack & Brad's mother still alive? I know she was on
the show years ago, but I can't recall what happened to her. Maybe she died.

I've also been thinking, though, if Janet knew Brad as a teenager, why
didn't she know Jack. Were they not raised together? Or maybe he had already
moved away from home by the time Brad was in high school. I guess that could
be it.

Monday's show felt like it was written by two different people. The
funeral scenes were emotional and the eulogies were great, but, as you
said, they were intercut with Henry's histrionics over his haunting by
Brad. Maybe the affair prompted them to isolate Peck with Dawson, but
Dawson has been chewing the scenery for too long. He does well with
drama, so why have him bouncing off the walls? Comedy was just not
called for in this episode.

The other thing I noticed was the timing of the funeral with the other
scenes. Ali, Maddie, and Casey were at the church while other
characters were still getting ready to go. Katie was ready to leave
for the funeral when Ali called to say she could visit the baby, then
Henry stopped by, and Katie did go sit with the baby, then went to
church, all in record time. The funeral clearly started late, then
included several eulogies, yet Carly was still late? Oh, wait, that
was so that Jack would run into her outside, I guess, at the end of
the hour.

She did look great.

I guess this means Carly and Jack now? I wonder what will happen to Janet?
I do like Craig and Rosana together. It is odd that I didn't really like her
with Hunt Block although as I understand it they were a couple in real life.
Maybe it was because he was so much taller than her and she had to tilt her
head all the time. Are they still together?

Spoilers:

Cady McClain is leaving ATWT, so there won't be a Craig/Ro pairing. As
of today's episode, Carly wants to continue her relationship with
Craig, though obviously the truth's about to come out. There's always
a possibility of a CarJack reunion on this show (although we don't
know how the new writer feels about them), so I wouldn't rule it out,
but they are only showing, at this point, that Carly and Jack are
close friends/co-parents, not that either is pining for the other. If
Carly dumps Craig when she learns the truth, well, Simon is returning,
as is Mike Kasnoff, so there are other possibilities. Of course,
there's the revolutionary possibility of her just being single and
trying to stay sober! Really, truly, ATWT, that is a good enough basis
for a character's story. Honest.

I don't understand your question/comment about Hunt being so much
taller than Cady. If you are asking if Hunt was let go as Craig
because Cady's neck hurt, no, he was fired and, IIRC, she quit in
protest. I don't think they are still together, just friends. She
recently mentioned that her "old-friend" Hunt was appearing in the
movie "Salt" with Angelina Jolie.

So I guess they are for sure not together in real life. To me they just
looked awkward. From every interview I have read he is a very unusual
person. I had forgotten that she was leaving, darn, just when Craig was
getting nicer. I liked Hunt Block a lot so I hope he does well.

Hunt does seem to have an odd sense of humor, while Cady seems more
straightforward, which seemed like a bit of a mismatch. I think they
are both smart and passionate about their work, so that may well have
been what drew them to each other. It's good to see that they are
still friends.

This funeral was a joke. I know I never liked Brad, because I saw the
character as a juvenile dumbass, but wasn't he supposed to be liked by
everyone? And less than 10 people show up for the funeral. This show
is run by rank amateurs, not professional writers and producers.

Well, to me, he's the only "Margo's brother Craig."

But I thought Hunt Block did an excellent job playing "Margo's OTHER
brother Craig"--because the character he was playing was basically
such a rewritten version of Craig that I had to think of him that way
to make it work for me--and I haven't seen enough of Lindstrom as
Other-Brother-Craig to judge him fairly, but he was growing on me the
last episode I saw.

(During Bryce's last visit, Craig was such an odd amalgam of Hunt's
Other-Brother-Craig, which is how they were writing him, and Scott's
original Brother-Craig, which is how, I think, Scott was playing him,
that I started thinking of him as "Margo's HALF-brother Craig," but
that got to be confusing, and then they got rid of Scott, and I sort
of gave up on Craig, period. Bryce was--and is--wonderful,
regardless.)
