GL: Rizzo gone bland

Aside from trying to jazz up a tired triangle (family members fighting over the
same woman), is there any reason Michelle has amnesia? She's still
self-righteous, immature, self-absorbed, and shrill. She still does absolutely
nothing with her time and goes into a hissy fit any time people around her have
an opinion of their own. The only difference is that now she wears ugly
earrings and dresses in outfits from The Ropers.
I wish she had been killed instead of Maureen. She is a waste of oxygen, a
worthless wife and a delinquent mother, and would be better off dead.

But Peter, how do you REALLY feel? Don't hold back, LOL!
Seriously, I found myself shutting off the TV today after she flirted with
Tony in one scene, and then rolled around on the sofa with Danny in the
next. Her behavior is inexcusable, even WITH amnesia. It would be horrible
to do this to 2 guys anyway, but she KNOWS they are cousins. To do this to
family members - well, needless to say I'm hoping that both Tony and Danny
decided that the skank isn't worth it and dump her trashy, immature ass.

Goodness Sarah, you probably felt like I was cutting open a vein on these
threads today. I haven't watched a full episode of GL in some time (I usually
tape and watch later, if I watch at all), and I was completely unprepared for
how mean-spirited and unpleasant most of the scenes were.
I think you know how I feel about Nancy St. Alban, but even Rachel Miner could
not carry this storyline off. It makes Michelle look like a selfish and hateful
witch. Perhaps we are supposed to be turned on by this, or think that her
"forbidden" feelings for Tony are hot. All I see is a harlot and her goonish
cousin-in-law who is going to stab Danny in the back because of his instalust
for Michelle Roper.
There was one especially absurd line of dialogue where Tony was going on about
how Danny was not living by the rules of the "new" Michelle, and Danny had to
remind him, "hey, she has amnesia!!!" It isn't as if Michelle wanted to try a
new hairstyle. She has a serious medical illness that needs to be treated.
Most disappointing of all is how much such a promising character has fallen
apart. She has no career, barely sees her own son, has no real friends or
family left, and is now in desperate storylines that most soap characters only
get when they hit their 40's.
I cannot believe what has happened to the Bauer family since Maureen died. None
of this would have happened if she were alive. None of it. Ed's gone, Rick is
barely around, Michelle is slime, and most of the scenes in the Bauer house
revolve around the Santos family.
