ATWT: Wacky Tuesday 8/25/1998 really late update.

week to South Dakota's Black Hills, so this update is very late.
This particular day I was in Keystone, South Dakota. James' reference
to a certain town's cops below strikes me funny, considering in what
town I was in that day.
OPENING SCENE: A TV SET IN GEORGIA TUCKER'S HOSPITAL ROOM AT MEMORIAL.
A television set is immediately shown. Margo and Eddie are on it where
Margo says, "Eddie, we can't. We can never be..." Eddie said, "What?
Lovers? We already are." as replayed on the WDLE show 'City Beat.'
Georgia is shown watching in shock while sitting on her hospital bed.
Eddie comes in, Georgia quickly turns off monitor. Georgia says she has
bad news for Eddie.
KIM WITH EMILY PUTTING ON A PERFORMANCE
Kim is watching the video on tv. Kim can't believe it. Emily is there,
pretending to be shocked over tape. Kim puts it together that Brent the
tv reporter was the one that had the tape.
THE NEXT GENERATION OF HUGHES WATCHING TV IN SHOCK
Tom and Margo are shown reacting to the tape with Adam watching. Tom
gets angry and turns it off by grabbing the remote control from Adam's
hand as Margo says that they left out the part where she says she loves
Tom. Adam wonders if Eddie and Margo are in love.
HAL HAVING TO JUMP TO STRANGER DA'S WHIP
Hal gets a report from Guzman. Jack walks in and Hal wants Jack to
execute a warrant. Strange District Attorney wants Kirk and Sam
arrested immediately for the murder of David Stenbeck.
DAVID HOLDS JULIA AGAINST HER WILL - THE BEGINNING
David Allen is holding Julia's mouth shut. Julia agrees not to scream
if he'll let her go.
David says he will remain dead because it suits his purposes. He
quizzes Julia about where Lily is being hid. Julia doesn't know.
SHORT As The World Turns globe and show identification.
DAVID BEGINS TO BRANDISH HIS SHINY SILVER GUN
David pulls out his silver revolver gun. David looking under cabinets
and in cabinets, while saying he is looking for Lily. Carly comes in
Emma's kitchen door where this is all unfolding as scene fades to
commercial.
TIPTOEING PREGNANT LILY
Fake pregnant Lily tiptoes over to the door and lets Lucinda in.
Princess Lily not thrilled to see Lucinda. Lucinda says she needs Lily.
Lucinda says she needs a daughter to be grounded.
Lily is wondering if Lucinda has fallen for James. Holden is wondering
what Lucinda is doing here. She could have lead James Stenbeck right to
them.
CARLY RETURNS TO THE FARMHOUSE UNFORTUNATELY FOR HER
David is shown aiming a gun at Carly. Carly is wondering what David is
doing here. David grabs Julia around her throat with his arm and holds
a gun on her and threatens to blow her away if Carly does anything.
Carly wonders what David is doing there. She liked him better when he
was dead.
David motions them over to the kitchen table. David demands to know
where Lily is from Julia. Carly urges Julia to tell him where Lily is.
Carly and Julia bicker over Julia getting her into this. Carly goes to
leave and David grabs her about her neck with his arm and aims the gun
for her head.
HAL MOMENTARILY DISTRACTED BY TELEVISION OF ALL THINGS
Strange DA is pressing for the warrant to be executed. Hal gives Jack
the warrant. Hal says, "It looks like everyone has plans to go out of
town this weekend." He thinks Carly and Jack are going together,
although he doesn't say so.
Policeman gets Hal's attention for tv coverage of Margo. Hal goes into
the other room and sees the tv coverage.
MEANWHILE BACK IN THE SHOCKED TOM & MARGO HOUSEHOLD
Margo trying to explain to Adam that it was trash tv. Adam is upset.
Margo gets cell phone call from Hal, but Margo can't talk right now.
She hangs up.
Adam says that Eddie says tearfully on the tv that they were lovers.
Tom says that Margo said they weren't. Tom says Eddie was mistaken.
Tom urges Adam to grab his brother and head outside to shoot some hoops.
Tom says that him and Margo need to talk. Tom sends Adam outside. Tom
turns around and glares at Margo as we fade to commercial.
GEORGIA TRYING TO DISTRACT EDDIE FROM WATCHING TV
Georgia is wrestling the remote control from Eddie's hands. Georgia
wonders if he has seen Margo since that talk they had.
Eddie says they haven't, besides Eddie doesn't want to talk about it.
Georgia allows Eddie to change the subject. Eddie wonders about
Georgia's bad news. Eddie thinks it is about her heart. Georgia plays
along. She talks about the munchies he bought her and ice cream is at
the top of it. Eddie says it is a tofu snack.
Georgia is surprised that Eddie would get anything good. Eddie says
that he did because he doesn't want to tempt her.
Just then Bob comes in to get Georgia for tests. Eddie looks at Margo's
photo from a newspaper clipping he had in his back pocket, then lays on
Georgia's hospital bed. He grabs the remote control and aims it at the
tv set.
KIM LEAVES WOAK OFFICE, EMILY GRINS, SUSAN KNOWS SOMETHING IS UP
Kim is wondering about the tape. Kim is furious about Brent's tape.
Kim says that it is not her fault. Emily killed the story. Kim says if
Brent cut and edited the tape, that is a different story. Emily says
that they have to get rid of Brent. Kim agrees and leaves.
Emily looks at end of report and grins. Susan wonders what Emily is
smiling about.
TOM CONFRONTING MARGO WITH THE 'TRASH' TV NEWS
Tom gets cell phone call from Kim. Tom dismissed her quickly and hangs
up. Tom having it out with Margo. The phone rings again. Tom throws
the phone. It stops ringing, probably because it is broken now.
Margo is almost sobbing. Margo admits Eddie has a crush on her. Margo
says that everything that happened, that she is to blame. Tom does this
uncomfortable look as we head to commercial.
NOW EVEN OAKDALE MEMORIAL IS WATCHING TV.
Eddie is watching the tv on another station, which has received tape
from their sister station WDLE in Oakdale. Eddie is upset.
Just then Georgia and Bob come back in. Georgia says "Eddie NO!" Bob
says to settle down. Bob grabs the remote control and looks up and
pauses.
Bob, Georgia, and Eddie all are watching tv about Margo & Eddie from
Georgia's hospital room. Sound of Margo saying, "We can never be."
Eddie says, "What lovers?" on tape as we see Eddie's shocked face.
THE DYSFUNCTIONAL COUPLE DISCUSS THE TV REVELATION
Tom and Margo hashing it out. Margo saying that she had to face it
after putting it aside. Margo said she would have never acted it out.
Tom asks Margo about what really happened on the island. Margo recites
about the kiss that she let Eddie give her.
Tom wonders how big Margo's feelings were. Margo says that she doesn't
know.
Tom says about is it true that Margo said the passion was gone. Margo
admits it was true. Tom is upset that Margo said on the tape that she
"was slowly dying, that this life with (him) was killing (her)."
DAVID MORE WILD THAN USUAL WITH CARLY AND JULIA
David yelling at Carly and Julia. David proposes one person to act as
his link to the outside world by proxy. David says it will be easier to
get to Lily. It will make it that much more awful when Lily is gone and
no one knows who did it. Julia says David is sick.
Carly offers to be the link to the outside world. Carly just wants to
be let out of "this damn kitchen!" Shot of David as we head to
commercial.
SECOND HALF: BACK TO THE SNYDER FARMHOUSE UNDER SIEGE BY DAVID
David says Julia will be his link to the outside world. David says
Carly would double cross him in a second. David says that further Carly
wouldn't be sad if Julia took the hit. He reminds Carly of the hit and
run accident when Carly hit Julia.
David is certain that Julia is do "damn good" that she'd take the hit
before Carly or to be more precise Carly's baby. David repeats to Julia
the question of where is Lily.
SUSAN KNOWS SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THIS PICTURE
Susan is wondering how Eddie and Margo got on the air. Susan says the
tape was edited. Susan mentions it works to Emily's advantage. Kim
opens door. Kim says, "Oh...hi Susan." Susan glares at Emily.
OAKDALE MEMORIAL WITH BOB, GEORGIA, AND EDDIE
Bob is wondering what is going on. Eddie freaks out and runs out of
room. Georgia urged by Bob to lay down after trying to chase after him.
Eddie trying to call Margo on a hallway pay phone. Unable to reach her,
he goes.
MARGO BACKPEDALING
Margo is trying to explain. She says it was something lacking in her.
Margo says it has something to do with the last two years where she
doesn't realize what is happening until after the fact. Margo says she
doesn't want to hurt the kids, Eddie, and most especially Tom.
Margo says, "Tom you're everything to me! Please. Tom (sobs) You do
make me feel alive! You are my passion, you are my life, you are my
soul, you are my breath. Oh my God, if I have...I have the cleanest and
the nicest smelling toilet in the neighborhood."
Whoops. That sure was a fast cut to commercial. We lost Margo's
conversation in mid sentence! Right after "Oh my God, if I have..."
DAVID, JULIA, AND CARLY AT THE SNYDER FARM. WHERE IS EMMA?
Julia urges David to put the gun down. Julia trying to tell David that
hurting Carly is not going to get him anywhere. David rethinks his
plan. He says that both should be hostages. Julia looking behind her
towards open kitchen window as we go to the next scene.
JACK RETURNS FROM HIS FRUITLESS FISHING EXPEDITION TO FIND KIRK AND SAM
Jack says that he cannot find Kirk and Sam anywhere. Jack walks into
the room with James and Hal. James says they are "Keystone Cops." Jack
and Hal leave the room.
Hal finds out Jack's big trip is with Julia to the Sears Tower. Hal
changes his mind and lets Jack go to Julia.
JAMES GETS GOOD NEWS
James gets a cellular phone call in the interrogation room. It is good
news for him in days. He will be right there.
LUCINDA TALKING TO THE LOVING COUPLE AT THE HIDING PLACE
Lucinda is talking to Holden and Lily at Lily's Chicago hiding place.
Lucinda is talking about Valetta sinking with David missing.
Lily says maybe she can go home. Lucinda agrees. Holden urges Lily to
stay there until after the birth. Lucinda agrees. Lucinda says she
will be there for the birth, if it is okay with her "child." Shot of
Lily as we fade to commercial.
KIM AND SUSAN ON SCREEN TOGETHER! YES! JOINED BY BOB! YES!
Kim and Susan are talking about the Eddie and Margo tape. Susan says it
is an awful invasion of privacy.
Kim says Brent Ward is out of the station. Susan is surprised. "That
tape originated with a reporter here at WOAK?" Susan says that she
finds it "hard to believe anyone would go that far."
Bob arrives and talks about the tape and leaves with Kim. Kim tells Bob
in front of Susan and Emily that Tom and Margo has seen the tape.
SUSAN DOESN'T BUY EMILY'S BILL OF GOODS
Susan is not believing Emily. Susan guesses Emily set the whole thing
up. Emily gives Susan "the look" as the scene ends.
MARGO TRYING TO MEND FENCES, BUT A FLY IS IN THE OINTMENT
Margo and Tom are still talking about the tape. Tom says he "is glad
that (Margo) was finally honest with her."
Margo says she will never give Tom reason to doubt her again. Margo
says that she will not give up fighting for "us." Eddie arrives just
outside Tom and Margo's place.
LUCINDA HAS FOUND LILY'S HIDING PLACE AND NOW JAMES HAS TOO
Lucinda is okayed by Lily to stay. James runs up to the place and is
listening.
FORCED PHONE CALLS AND MORE
David forces Julia to dial phone to James. Before she can do this
however, Jack arrives.
David says that Julia will regret this. David urges Julia to run out to
her boyfriend and get rid of him. Carly tried to run, but David grabbed
her.
Jack says, "Chicago, here we come." Julia says nothing as scene fades
with her holding open the outside door to the screen porch.
