So cool

Former child actor Bryant Jones is an emotional, high-energy leader on
the football field
Thirty minutes before last Friday night's game with San Luis Obispo,
Oxnard High senior linebacker Bryant Jones already had his game face
on. Most of the time, Jones is a good-natured, hard-working student-
athlete, but when the lights turn on each Friday night, Jones takes on
a different persona.

"On the field, I don't have to be a good guy, I can be reckless,"
Jones said. "I let my emotions lead me when I'm on the field. ... I
can get all fired up and just be crazy."

Jones learned early in his life about how fun it can be to get lost in
a character.

From 1995 to 2002, the 17-year-old Jones played Nate Hastings on THE
YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, earning three daytime Emmy nominations for his
work in the process.

When his character was written out of the show, Jones wanted to be a
"regular kid," turning his attention back to his first love —
athletics.

Great picture! NOT.
Would have been nice if they'd have included a photo of what he looks
like now where we could actually SEE what he looks like at 5'11" and 220
lbs!

Bryant Jones, Oxnard, Linebacker

The leading tackler on the Pacific View League champions, Jones — a 5-
foot-11, 205-pound junior who played left outside linebacker —
finished with 126 tackles, 32 solo, as well as two sacks, two forced
fumbles, two fumble recoveries and an interception. A two-time all-
league honoree, he was also named the league's top linebacker and was
a coaches' all-county pick. He also received academic recognition for
a GPA of 3.5 or above. He lists his hobbies as playing piano and
lifting weights. Yet another fan of "SportsCenter," his favorite teams
are the Dallas Cowboys and LSU, and his favorite recording artist is
The Game.

Thank you.
I still see the sweet little boy. Always felt bad for him that his
father IRL passed around the same time as his TV father.

Good he's doing something he enjoys. Sounds like a young man with a
healthy attitude. Kudos.

Did you see his football pic? It could be enlarged, but I agree it is
not a headshot. But that gives me an idea....
