Two questions:

1. Why did the woman who played the origional Natalie leave the
show and what is she doing now?

2. Whatever happened to the blond model looking actress Jack
was crazy about? Was she the origional Laurel? She was the worst
actress I have ever seen.

Thanks,

Rachel via husband

Kate Collins played the original Natalie. The official reason was because
she was getting married and wanted to move on to something else. She's now
living in Chicago with her husband the last I heard. The unofficial rumors
as to why she left said that James Kiberd was harassing her and she
wouldn't work with him, so the PTB let her go. Who knows?

The blond model with Jack was indeed the original Laurel. Her name was
Kristen Jensen and she couldn't act her way out of a paper bag. The PTB
fired her and replaced her with Felicity LaFortune. Kind of a 180 degree
spin there if you ask me. But, Felicity is a much better actress so I
can live with it

One note on the second Natalie. She was in the movie Flash Gordon, it's
just funny as hell to see her in that movie. Also find Maria in Robocop
3 where she is a newscaster and gets to say "Sh*t!" which is also funny
to see.

Well, Kirsten Jensen may have been the worst actress you have ever
seen, y'all, but she is certainly not the worst I've ever seen. Why
our own AMC had THE worst actress about, say, three years ago:

What I remember of this character was this: (PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU
REMEMBER HER TOO)

She played a lawyer and she was truly model-gorgeous -- that is, she
looked as if she could keep a vacant expression on her face for the
slowest of shutters in the lowest of light. She was a long-haired
brunette.

Her trial scene that I remember best was when her client was a
plaintiff in a hate crime. (I believe it was Terrence.) Her delivery
that struck me as an all-time low was of the line: "The is clearly a
case of prejudiced." --- Please note, she did not say "prejudice,"
she said "prejudiced." And she said it more than once.

This actress was so very awful -- I don't know how she got the job, let
alone how she lasted more than a week on the show.

Anyone remember her?

Ooops, in my reminiscing about a rotten actress, I was worked into such
a tizzy that I committed a typo. Her shocking line was: "This was
clearly a case of prejudiced." (Yes, "prejudiced.")

Thanks

Gaylen (sp?) something-or-other... HORRIBLE actress, I agree, but
model-gorgeous??? At any rate, she ended up on a short-lived margarine
commercial, at least on the west coast...

The original Laurel's face is sitting on a huge poster outside of a
hairdresser's salon in Brentwood. As stiff as her performance...

No, actually, the previous poster was referring to the ORIGINAL Galen
Henderson, who had red hair and was on AMC for about 5 minutes. She was
the prosecutor (asst. DA) at the trial of the thugs who beat up
Terrence. Her name was Courtney Eplin or something. She was married to
some guy from Another World (Mr. Eplin?). The actress was also Miss America
or Miss USA or something. TPTB dumped her after the trial and got Karen
Person instead.

Kate Collins hated James Kiberd so much she couldn't work with him
anymore. I read one article that said on one occasion when they were
running lines in his trailer he came out of the bathroom with his pants
open and wanted her to kiss the rabbit between the ears. It's a good
thing his wife was filming on another lot. If it had been my husband his
rabbit would have been fricassed. (FYI Kate Collins is astronaut Mac
Collins' daughter.)

Sounds like Uncle Pork Chop is as gross in person as his character is on
TV.
Somehow this doesn't surprise me. Sometimes it seems as if I can almost
smell his BO through the screen.

This is one reason I can't stand James Kiberd. I don't like the
character either, but every interview I've seen with him, he comes off
like such a chauvinist and egotistical jerk. Kate Collins was great, and
had been on the show longer than him, and if anyone should leave I think
it should have been him (I know, she chose to...). I just can't *stand*
him, I can't emphasize how much!

I am terrible with names. She's a blonde named Susan something on

job hunting now. She's been on a couple of soaps.

I believe her name is Susan Keith. She played Shana (?) on Loving... she
and Kiberd met years ago either on a soap or while they were doing a play
together...

Hope this helps!
