My name is Erica Kane
Jonathan has talked Erica into going back to the Betty Ford
center, however the Betty Ford Center tells Erica that they don't TAKE
people back. It's not a hotel where you can check in and check out at
you wish. Meanwhile Geena(?)'s sister stops by to pick up Geena's
things. It seems that when Geena left her friends threw her a welcome
home party and Geena lost track of the number of pills she took.
Erica realizes that that could have been her. Erica's counselor
returns from getting Geena's things and Erica asks to come back. The
counselor looks at Jonathan and asks Erica if she was pressured.
Erica replies "I think you know by know that I don't give into
pressure." Erica says that she needs help and she admits that she
can't do it on her own. She also states that she wants to be here for
her daughter.
The group enters the office for a meeting. Lois(?) Erica's
former roommate says "Look - it's Cleopatra back from denial." The
meeting starts and the group leader { does anyone think that's Sam's
mother from The Leap Home?? } asks if anyone would like to talk. Erica
says that she would like to talk. She says "my name is Erica Kane,
and I am a drug addict."
The trial is over
Actually - the trial isn't over - it hasn't even started yet.
Janet is meeting with her (court appointed) lawyer and is trying to
explain to the lawyer that Janet COULDN'T have killed Laurel because
that would have hurt Amanda and she wouldn't have hurt Amanda. The
lawyer doesn't seem too compassionate.
Back at Chez Dillon the gang is gathering to go to the hearing.
Trevor once again says that the Janet thing just doesn't seem to fit.
Haley has flashbacks of Jason's confession. They leave for the
hearing. Derek says that it is likely that Janet will get the death
penalty because of her history.
Over at Chez Brooke Laura is getting ready to go to the hearing
and Brooke asks her where she's going. Laura says she's going to the
hearing and Brooke tries to warn Laura that it will be hard. Laura
says that it WILL be hard - for JANET - and she, Janet, and Pierce are
a team and now is not the time to break up the team. Pierce comes in
and they ALL leave for the hearing. They arrive at the hearing just
in the nick of time and Laura comments that if it were up to her they
WOULD have been on time.
The hearing starts - Janet's history and the evidence are
reviewed and the judge says that there is enough evidence to go
forward with a trial. He also points out that the state spend enough
money on Janet (with the surgery and such) that they don't need to
spend any more on her so he wants to start the trial RIGHT AWAY to not
waste time, or money. Janet's lawyer asks for bail to be set and the
judge refuses bail. Janet tries to say that she's innocent and not a
flight risk and the judge says if she says one more word she'll be
held in contempt of court.
Laura and Pierce say a tearful goodbye to Janet - Brooke comes to
ask Janet if there's anything she can do and Janet says "is there
anything else you can take from me - you have it all."
Janet and her lawyer have another meeting and the laywer says
that with the trial being set for such a short time that will help
with their appeal process. (Meanwhile Haley is outside the room
listening in.)
Janet and the guard leave the room and Janet asks to talk to
Haley for a moment. Janet wants Haley to do her a favor. Janet
admits that the trial is already over, she's already been tried and
convincted but she would like to have Haley look out for Amanda.
Janet admits that Trevor is a good dad but Amanda will need an older
woman in her life to help her with first dates and to buy her pretty
clothes and answer her questions about womanhood. { I can't describe
how well Robin played this scene - she had me in TEARS }. Haley says
that she'll take care of Amanda and apologizes to Janet for the way
things turned out.
Take me back to ...........
Noah grabs ONE inner tube and Noah and Julia hop overboard.
After a SHORT time of them waddling around in the water, with one
moment of suspense as Julia goes under { THANK YOU PTB for not having
Julia and Noah in the water being a repeat of Nat in the well } they
are rescued by a man in a boat { of special note - while the boat was
coming to rescue them there was a shot of them and in the background
was a TREE - MILES from land my foot } who drops them off on shore and
gives Julia some water. They discover that the man is a fisherman,
who caught no fish today, and they are on Jamacia. They laugh about
finally getting to have their honeymoon and Noah decides it's time for
Julia to get some food - he turns to ask the fisherman where to get
some chow and the fisherman has disappeared with no trace. Meanwhile
we see a woman in a house setting out a vase of flowers. She looks at
a pencil drawing of Noah and says something about her dream and now he
is here.
Will Jason die from blood alcohol poisoning before he can be
sentenced for murder?
Dixie is in a classroom and Jason comes in and locks the door.
It's OBVIOUS that he's been drinking. He talks to Dixie about how she
is his friend and she says that she saw him at the studio. HE thinks
that she saw him shoot Laurel and thinks that she is protecting him by
not telling anyone. SHE saw him riling up the crowd and disapproves
of that. Jason says that she's the only person that he can talk to
and he NEEDS her and he grabs her and kisses her. She starts yelling
for help and some (janitor) guy comes in the room. Jason runs out.
Later we see Jason sitting and having a drink. Haley comes in
and mentions that he's not answering the phone. She tried his office
and the set and his home and the bar at the Valley Inn. She tells him
that she CAN NOT live with letting an innocent woman rot in jail and
tells him that he has 24 hours to go to the cops - or she will.
{ Actually Halo - Janet won't rot in jail - she'll get a lovely little
shot of something that will put her to sleep - permanently.
