I watched the show today (mainly to see Haley) and I have some
questions since I haven't watched with any regularity in almost a
year.

1. Have Ryan and Erica had sex yet or are they still flirting? (gag)

2. Do Adam and Annie have genuine feelings for each other or is this
just a ruse of some sort?

3. Who is this Madison chick and what does she have to do with the
Hubbards?

4. How long do you think it will be before one or both of Haley and
Mateo's teenage sons show up in PV? I think just in time for "Summer
storylines"

5. How was Aiden written out?

Thanks!

I had to really think about this. Someone will correct me if I'm wrong, but
I think that they once ALMOST had sex, but then one of them was interrupted
by a knock on the door and they decided after that point to take it slow. I
really think it's because they recognize that most of the viewers are going
to continue to push back against this pairing. But no, I don't believe
they've had sex yet.

>> 2. Do Adam and Annie have genuine feelings for each other or is this
> just a ruse of some sort? <<

We have been led to believe that they are genuine feelings on both of their
parts. But the problem is threefold: 1) Melissa Claire Egan, good as she is,
is not managing to play this in a sincere manner; 2) David Canary, from time
to time, lapses into his Adam-is-scheming mode, which makes him seem
insincere; 3) Astonishingly, these two really good performers have absolutely
ZIP in the way of chemistry.

So it's hard to say, but it's my belief that we are supposed to buy this as a
real romance, after many months of dithering (Annie kisses Scott, Annie
kisses JR, Adam makes deals behind Annie's back, etc. etc.).

>> 3. Who is this Madison chick and what does she have to do with the
> Hubbards? <<

Let me see if I can thumbnail this: DA Henry North was prosecuting Kendall
for killing Stuart (which she didn't, but which she confessed to for some
idiotic reason). Madison was his wife (and the daughter of a senator), in
what was clearly a marriage of convenience. North met Randi in the course of
dealing with Chief of Police Jesse, and flashed back to when he knew her in
her hooker days. He was in love with her and wanted to take her away from
that life. She was still bamboozled by sleazy Fletcher in those days, and
couldn't believe anyone would really love her, so she turned him down. He
went on to marry Madison, become DA, and Randi went on to meet Frankie,
change her life, and marry him.

So North meets Randi anew and starts haranguing her to be with him again.
She says no; he persists. He says he'll ruin the Hubbard family because this
-- ex-hooker daughter-in-law -- wouldn't look good for the chief of police.
So she agrees to meet North at a hotel in DC (where he traveled for
business), and she was apparently going to capitulate and sleep with him.
But then had a change of heart, told him to leave her alone and that it was
OVER between them. He attacked her, she pushed him away, he fell down and
hit his head on something (bed post?), was clearly unconscious or dead, and
Randi fled.

Madison, who knew her husband's habits (meeting hookers when he went away on
business), had followed him down to DC. She went into the room where North
was, from where she'd just seen Randi flee, and bashed his head in with a
heavy bookend, killing him. Then she left, but was careful to bribe a
security guard to give her the security footage from the hall, which she
subsequently altered to make it look like only Randi had been there that
night.

Jesse helped Randi cover up the incident by putting North into his car and
pushing it over a ravine. Madison then went on a blackmail campaign against
the Hubbards (knowing they thought that Randi had accidentally killed him),
but somewhere in the middle of it she began to have feelings for Frankie.
Those feelings are what eventually thawed her ice-cold heart, and she stopped
blackmailing the Hubbards, and even turned over the evidence that would
incriminate _her_. North's death remained an "accident," and Madison went
her merry way... Only to turn up again as a victim of domestic abuse -- her
father was beating her regularly -- at the Miranda Center, where the Hubbards
ended up helping her again. They gave her the courage to testify against her
father. He just got sentenced to something or other by admitting to his
misdeeds in front of a judge (which he did only because Madison threatened
him with going public with even MORE nasty stuff he's been doing). That's
where we are now.

Ha! Yeah, someone mentioned that yesterday. Obviously it'll be Dondi, the
one Hayley mentioned as being in boarding school.

>> 5. How was Aiden written out? <<

Arrested for kidnapping Kendall somewhere out in the southwest (so he wasn't
even arrested by familiar officers like Jesse, or Officer Stroop). That's
the last we saw of him.

I believe Randi actually did hit North with the bookend in self-defense.
That's why Madison sending her the bookend as a "housewarming gift"
sent Randi into such a tizzy.

Ah, you're right. Thanks. So rather than pushing him away in self-defense,
she beaned him. But Madison beaned him better. :-)

Yes. Also, I was under the impression that she was NEVER going to have
sex with North, but that she went to D.C. to try to reason with him,
hoping that his love for her would make him listen and that he'd see the
light and want her to be happy in her new life. She was also pregnant
at that point, but she never got the chance to tell him about that part.

She acted pretty wimpy for an ex-hooker.

If someone were blackmailing, kidnapping or torturing me, you can bet I
wouldn't follow them to DC, meet with them alone in a hotel room and expect
to talk them into leaving me alone.
