It was an isolated incident in order to further along the story of
Bobbie wanting a child. I had to ff through the end, it was so
sad. I am not sure if I liked getting sucked into that brief
story knowing that the teenager, her son, and the adoptive parents,
were not part of a new storyline.

I agree. She did a terrific job. This goes back to Ingo. People
say that he is new, give him a chance. Well, the actress who
played the young unwed mother was fabulous in this scene, she
did not have the same amount of time to get into the character,
as the 1 month almost straight of Ingo attempting to play Jax.
She put emotion into every scene, subtle emotion. Not the
same one note expression, a grin, exaggerated, fake, annoying
as Ingo does for Jax. Nope. Jax has not nor will he prove
himself, since Ingo does not have it. This actress in small
scenes did. I would look forward to watching her more. But I
have reached my breaking point with Ingo.

What were the adoptive parents name? I was beginning to think
that they were Lucy's horrendous yuppy neighbors...
Was looking foreward to Lucy's complaints that the baby crying
was keeping Siggy awake at nights.

I agree the Diane-actress was very good. However, it came across to me
as the Public Service Announcement of the month, like TPTB have to
demonstrate that soaps are socially redeeming. If it's to advance
Bobbie's story, well and good... there was a spoiler posted about her and
I can only say "it's about time". The teen-adoption story would have been
better brought along from the first contact with the adoptive parents (at
least they weren't the Edgertons!!) and not just shoved at us all in one
day. That said, I was cheering along for the adoption: it's hard enough
to raise a baby alone with supportive family, this girl didn't have a chance.
And, as you said, a very good actress.

Everything goes back to Ingo with you, doesn't it?

Crying, whining, screaming, anger, fear, all the loud powerful emotions
are easier to communicate than more subtle emotions like love, tenderness,
inner conflict, refection, etc., but frankly, Ingo hasn't been given any
scenes with either extreme. I thought he did well in the millisecond he
was given where Brenda catches on to his previous love experience and he
momentarily let down his guard to show the chink in his armor, but this
character is just not written in the melodramatic style. He's calm cool
and collected, self confident, and is not likely to burst into tears any
time soon, there's no call for it.

>She put emotion into every scene, subtle emotion.

Of course, it was called for. There were a lot of emotions at play in
that scenario. She was playing a young woman who had little choice but to
give up the baby that had been growing inside her for nine months. Would
it make you happy to see Ingo putting the same emotions she displayed into
giving Brenda a flying lesson? ( "Oh *sob* Brenda, what am I going to
do?! Here, take the throttle, no wait! It's mine! How can I give it up?
What will it think of me!...") Give me a break. That wouldn't be very
realistic, now would it?

> But I have reached my breaking point with Ingo.

I thought you were well beyond that. I even noticed one post today where
you didn't mention him at all. ( I admired your self restraint. :) ).
Tell ya what, I'd love, in all sincerity, to hear which scenes you think
the actor has handled inappropriately, and how specifically you think he
could have done them better with the script he was given. You may be
right, he may be the worst actor in the universe and God should smite him
from the earth immediately, but I don't see it. Could you enlighten me
with specifics?

Poor thing, I keep hearing about this breaking point of yours. Since you
are already mhgc I don't see how you can break with Ingo anymore but I'm
sure that you know best. Btw you seem to hate Ingo much more than Jax, I
have to wonder, is there some personal dirt you're holding back, please
share if so. The 18 members of FGC Jax Inc, who all joined without
bribery btw, reach out to you in compassion and hope you will eventually
be through with spewing out the same rants over and over, the song you have
sung so many times is getting old. <sigh>

The latter. But I think its more than missing having another child of her
own. I think there is some deep dark lurking secret to be unveiled. When,
well this is a soap, only time will tell.

i did enjoy the scenes, but i do feel the need to point out that
there was *no* *way* that woman in the hospital bed was 16. more
like 25! i *hate* how soaps feel the need to have older actors play
younger roles all the time. (notable exception: robin, who has
aged at a "natural" pace!)
