Ryan Finelli was Mary (Ryan) Finelli's daughter. So if she married either
one, she'd have worse problems than a double name. ;)

The character was Ryan Fanelli, daughter of Jack Fanelli and Mary Ryan
Fanelli. I don't quite understand the last part of your question. If
she married Seneca and took his last name, she'd be Ryan Beaulac,
married to a cradle robber. If she married Johnny Ryan, there would be
a major scandal, because unions between grandfathers and granddaughters
are (I could be wrong about this) illegal in every state. If she
married someone named Hope, there would probably have been another major
scandal, but of a different sort.
Seriously, she would be ineligible as a bride to anyone with the last
name of Ryan on the show, as that person would almost certainly be a
blood relative.

The Ryan I remember on Ryan's Hope was played by Yasmine Bleeth (sp?) and she was
a teenager involved with Rick Hyde (played by Grant Show -- yummy) and eventually
married him. I only watched it from like 1983 or so....

IIRC, she was the daughter of Mary Ryan and Jack Fenelli(sp?), her name was
Ryan Fenelli. So she wouldn't have married one of the Ryans, unless an
unrelated Ryan came to town. (I think that's what you were saying) Seneca
wasn't a Ryan and I don't know who John Hope is - unless you mean her Grandpa.

No, that was Frank Ryan. John was Da - his father.

The fellow that plays Bianca's father, Travis, is Larkin Malloy. He played
Schuyler Whitney on Edge of Night for years, before moving to Springfield as
Kyle Sampson on Guiding Light.
I don't recall him every being on RH - but it wouldn't be the first time I was
wrong!
Daniel Hugh Kelly was ONE of the fellows to play Frank Ryan (I think.)
The siblings were Frank, Patrick, Mary and Siobhan.
The actor (Bernard Hughes?) who played Da (Johnny Ryan) also played on Loving
for a few years.
The actress (why I can't think of her name this moment escapes me) who played
Maeve Ryan, played Mel's mother on OLTL for awhile.
Sorry for the useless information.
Every now and again I try to sound smart.

Johnny Ryan was played by Bernard Barrow. Maeve Ryan was played by Helen
Gallagher.

I don't remember Larkin Malloy ever playing Frank. There were a few,
including Kelly. Kelly also played Travis for a bit.
Someone posted elsewhere that his name was Bernard Barrow, but you're
not too far off the mark, here. Bernard Hughes played the title
character on Broadway, in a play entitled "Da."
