OLTL: Opening Montage

Gee, TPTB have been so quick about updating the pictures that flash by
during the opening theme it almost seems strange that they've waited two
weeks to add Carlo to the lineup. Wasn't it only minutes after his
appearance that we saw Drew in the mix?

It's only been two days for Kevin #4(?) but I'll be interested to see when
his mug is added... Do you suppose, considering the trouble they've had
recasting the part, that he was asked to sign his contract in pencil, and
will only be shown with the regulars when they go over it in ink?

P.S. In fairness to the actor, since he can't become Kirk Geiger no matter
how good he is, do ya' think we can wait to pass judgement on "Kevin"
until he's actually been in a few scenes?

It's really hard to say, (about the picture that is). The montages seem
to have very little continuity, and who would be next to him? Viki? Andy?

Although I've not been able to catch up on my soaps this week, I can state
that most of us despised Kevin #3 from the first GLEEM-toothpaste smile.
Jack Armstrong took a while to find irritating, but most of the people
wanted Kirk back. I'll reserve judgement, but unless the new writers are
the ones who hired "Kasablanca Kevin" then I really don't have to see
him in action. (Anyway, we've got Drew and Carlo as new characters, why
not leave Kevin in England?)

P.S. I'll be posting Stats next week. (It's Spring Break at Purdue) :)

I also want to know when Thom Christopher will be added to the montage.
He could take the place of one of Phil Carey's pictures. I think that
the new Kevin would be placed with Nathan, Erin and the rest of the
"Buchanan" family--like Clint. I wonder if they're waiting for more
characters to leave before updating the opening montage. I think that
the show kind of has families together, based on characters (Andrew,
Cassie, Maggie--or vice versa) They're not exactly quick in updating
except when Victor Browne was added, right after Mari (Rachel) left.

So do I. I mean, we don't know what kind of contract these people have
signed, anyway... it probably depends upon being a contract player (even
if you're like Renee and have about three scenes a year, although by
making her Max's partner we are seeing her a LOT more-- yay!), and
they're also probably waiting for David's picture to go bye-bye. At
that point, they can place Carlo in one of Asa's slots, and Kevin in
David's slot.

And yes, they do need to do updates on some of the pics.
