The September 24th issue of Soap Opera Digest includes an exclusive
interview with Keith Hamilton Cobb (Noah, ALL MY CHILDREN) who speaks out
about his decision to leave the show, the colleagues he'll miss and Sydney
Penny's upcoming departure.
Here's a timeline of major Noah and Julia events to hold on to as we savor
their remaining AMC moments:
June 1994 -- Flirtatious Julia Santos decides she wants to be a nurse,
blows the interview at P.V.G.H, but Anton puts in a good word and she's
accepted into the volunteer program. Meanwhile, Julia tries to end her
rivalry over ex-boyfriend Terrence with cop Taylor Roxbury-Cannon.
July 1994 -- Noah forms a friendship with Taylor after saving her from a
gun-toting criminal who was bent on revenge. A freak chandelier accident
during a tornado leaves Julia with a big scar on her face. She can't stand
being "deformed" and runs away.
August 1994 -- Noah finds Julia hanging out on the wrong side of the
tracks, mistakes her for a hooker hiding from her pimp, and takes her in.
Noah's drug-dealer pal Louie Greco (the creep who sold LSD to Timmy Hunter)
takes a shine to her. [Lucky Julia] Desperate for money, Noah suggests
Julia try the hooker life (he's since figured out that she isn't already).
She decides against it. Julia's family worries about her.
September 1994 -- Noah saves Julia from Louie's advances. Julia comforts
Noah after his friend, J.D., is killed in a gang-related incident. Later,
Louie rapes Julia. Noah vows revenge, and comforts Julia. The Santos family
continues to worry.
October 1994 -- Anton and Maria track Julia down to Noah's apartment. She
agrees to go home. Taylor learns from Noah that Julia was raped. At
Wildwind, Anton helps Julia recover from the trauma of her rape. They begin
dating.
November 1994 -- Noah is employed as the groundskeeper at Wildwind. Taylor
offers to help Julia deal with the rape. Julia is furious that Noah told
Taylor.
December 1994 -- Julia refuses plastic surgery for her chandelier-induced
scar, and tells Noah she's afraid to testify against Louie for dealing
drugs. Meanwhile, Noah convinces her to take a pregnancy test; it comes out
positive. Maria discovers that Julia is pregnant; Noah claims it's his
baby. Under pressure from Maria, Noah promises to marry Julia. When an
angry Anton confronts her about the pregnancy, Julia lies that she and Noah
were lovers. Edmund wants to adopt the baby. [Edmund just keeps offering to
adopt babies...] Anton marries Erica Kane's daughter, Kendall. Julia enters
counseling for the rape; over her Catholic parents' protests, she decides
to have an abortion, explaining that giving birth to Louie's child would
only compound the trauma of the rape.
January 1995 -- Noah rediscovers his sister, Belinda. At Taylor's
suggestion, Noah convinces Julia to have an HIV test. Noah accompanies her
and reveals he loves her. Julia tells Noah that he's her best friend, but
she's still in love with the newly married [hence, unavailable] Anton.
February 1995 -- Julia's HIV test comes back negative. Noah kisses Julia in
happiness, then quickly promises not to do it again. The Santos family
moves to Pine Valley.
March 1995 -- Noah is shot in a drive-by shooting while visiting Anton and
Kendall. Anton tends to his wounds. Julia sits at the unconscious Noah's
bedside. Anton is not a welcomed visitor when a jealous Noah regains
consciousness, but Julia informs him that Anton saved his life. Taylor gets
an anonymous tip that someone has put a hit out on Noah. She and Belinda
learn that Louie Greco is behind it. Taylor warns Louie to stay away from
Noah. Noah escapes from the hospital.
April 1995 -- Taylor vows to protect Noah. They bond. Julia is agitated by
Taylor and Noah's togetherness at his apartment. The hit men stalk Noah;
Taylor shoots them. Relieved that he's safe, Noah and Julia kiss, but
afterward, Julia tells Noah she needs his friendship too much to risk
anything more. Noah tells Anton that Julia was raped. Anton tells Julia he
loves her, but he won't leave Kendall. Julia refuses to get involved with a
married man, but later, Anton gets a divorce. Noah goes turns to Taylor
after Julia's rejection, and they make love; Julia walks in on them and is
crushed. Noah tells Julia that he's quitting his job at Wildwind. Julia
tells her parents about the rape; they, in turn, feel guilty for having
been so hard on Noah when they thought he was the baby's father. Julia's
second HIV test comes back
negative. Noah pursues his GED. Anton goes back to work at the hospital;
Julia looks into the nursing program; Noah considers working at the
hospital.
May 1995 -- Julia's scar is removed by laser surgery. Anton tells her that
he loves her. Noah begins working at the hospital as an orderly. Julia
supports Noah when he clashes with his superiors at work. Anton and Julia
go out on a date. Derek helps Noah study for his GED. Taylor is Noah's date
to Trevor and Laurel's wedding.
June 1995 -- Noah hates the menial duties of his hospital job and is
tempted to go back to living outside the law. Julia encourages him to stick
with it and make something of himself. Anton offers Noah help studying for
the GED, but Noah declines. When a patient they took care of together dies,
Noah and Julia kiss. When Julia backs off, Noah thinks she's concerned
about the fact that they're of different races, and finds comfort with
Taylor.
July 1995 -- Julia finally admits to Noah that she loves him, in spite of
her relationship with Anton and his with Taylor. Taylor overhears. Noah is
shaken
and doesn't respond. Anton asks Julia what's going on with Noah, she says
she's confused and can't answer. Noah gets his GED, and Taylor throws him a
party! Julia confesses her love of Noah to Edmund. Julia breaks up with
Anton and plans to move out of Wildwind; Mateo offers sis a room at his
place. Taylor
lies that she's been evicted in order to stay at Noah's apartment.
Suffering
nightmares about the rape, Julia visits Louie in prison to exorcise her
demons and announces that he no longer frightens her.
August 1995 -- Noah quits his hospital job. Taylor lies to Noah that she's
pregnant. Julia admits she wants a relationship with Noah. When Taylor
informs Julia that she's pregnant, Julia advises Noah to stand by Taylor.
September 1995 -- Taylor alters her medical files to say she's pregnant;
Noah moves into Julia's apartment. Taylor seduces her boss, Derek, to get
pregnant. Taylor books Noah on THE CUTTING EDGE to promote his new modeling
career. When Erica asks him nasty questions about getting one woman
pregnant and moving in with another, Noah keeps his cool. Erica admits to
Noah that Taylor was the one who gave her the info. Taylor spills info
about Julia's past to another CUTTING EDGE employee which prompts an expose
on her. Edmund gives Julia a chance to tell her side of the story in an
article in "Tempo" magazine. Derek asks Taylor to move in with him.
October 1995 -- Taylor's mom, Vivienne realizes that Taylor isn't pregnant.
Viv urges her to tell the truth. Derek tells Noah that he's asked Taylor to
move in with him. Noah gives his blessing. Vivian and Taylor run into
Julia, and Viv says Taylor miscarried. Noah comforts Taylor, but says it's
over between them. Julia and Noah go away to New York, where they make love
for the first time.
November 1995 -- Louie Greco, who's in jail for dealing drugs, reads the
"Tempo" article on Julia. Noah proposes to Julia; she accepts; he surprises
her with a new apartment for them. Louie is paroled, goes to Pine Valley,
and begins stalking Julia. Louie rents Noah's old apartment. Julia tries to
press charges against Louie for the rape, but it's too late. Louie begins
sending presents to Julia's younger sister, Anita, who tells Julia and
Mateo. Julia confronts Louie, who runs away. Julia goes on THE CUTTING EDGE
to discuss her rape, and is stunned to see Louie there [thanks to Liza
Colby]. Noah buys a gun; the merchant reveals that Louie has bought one,
too. He and Mateo go to WRCW, where Noah attacks Louie.
December 1995 -- Noah is arrested for assaulting Louie. He works on Taylor
to help him escape jail. Julia's family throws her a bridal shower. While
Maria is out running errands, Louie breaks in, forces Julia to write a note
saying she went out, chloroforms her and kidnaps her. He takes her to
Noah's old apartment, and forces her to call Maria and say she's okay, but
when she leaves a coded message revealing her location, he drugs her and
drags her off in his car.
December 18, 1996 -- Louie takes Julia to the waterfront, but crashes the
car into a tree. Noah gets out of jail and finds them. Louie pulls a gun on
Noah; Noah kicks it out of his hand. Louie falls, hits his head, and dies.
Taylor secretly sees it and pockets Louie's gun. After Louie's death, Noah
and Julia plan their wedding; Taylor is jealous. She interrupts their
rehearsal dinner to ask Noah to run away with her so he can escape criminal
charges for killing Louie. He refuses so Taylor tells the police that she
saw Noah kill Louie, and that Louie was unarmed. Derek interrupts Noah and
Julia's wedding and arrests Noah.
January 1996 -- Vivienne visits Noah in jail to talk him into admitting he
killed Louie, but Noah's insistence on his innocence makes her suspicious
of Taylor. Mateo continues his friendship with Taylor in order to catch her
in her lie about Louie's death. Via hospital records, Julia finds out
Taylor was never pregnant, and tells Mateo and Noah. They plan to call
Vivienne to the stand at his hearing, but Taylor sends her mom out of the
country before she can testify. Noah and Julia pretend to quarrel so he can
get closer to Taylor.
February 9, 1996 -- Noah is sentenced to 25 years for killing Louie.
February 1996 -- Taylor helps Noah escape by arranging a car accident when
he's being transported to prison. Julia joins him; Taylor discovers them
together and pulls a gun on them, then decides to let them go. They flee to
Jamaica together to escape the law and Taylor. Taylor offers a reward to
anyone who can lead her to Noah and Julia.
March 1996 -- Noah and Julia meet mystic Corinne in Jamaica. Taylor taps
Grace's phone, but Grace finds the bug and sends Noah a message to stay
with her Jamaican friend, Lila. Local cops show up at Lila's house looking
for Noah. Taylor hires a guy to say he saw Noah kill Louie in cold blood.
Derek finds out from Anita and Maria that Taylor was never pregnant. He
fires Taylor. Viv cuts off Taylor's money supply. Corinne and Lila take
care of Noah and Julia. Julia leaves a message for Mateo with Hayley, but
[oh, oh] Taylor overhears, realizes that Noah and Julia are in Jamaica and
hops a flight. Viv plans to commit her daughter to a mental hospital, but
is too late. Hayley and Mateo follow Taylor to Jamaica, and throw the
police off Noah and Julia's trail (and land briefly in jail themselves).
Mateo shares a hotel room with Taylor to get access to Louie's gun; she
drugs him and takes off.
March 28, 1996 -- Taylor and Julia brawl, Julia goes over the falls, and
Corinne drags her out of the water.
More March 1996 -- Taylor hides from Noah. Hayley goes back to Pine Valley
and tells the police that Taylor has gone berserk.
April 1996 -- Taylor tosses Louie's gun off a cliff in the jungle. Julia
reunites with Noah, who vows to kill Taylor. Mateo finds Taylor passed out
in the jungle. Hayley tracks down the guy Taylor paid to lie about seeing
Noah kill Louie, unfortunately he sticks to his story. Noah is bitten by a
tarantula, and Julia goes into town to get medicine. When she returns,
Corinne tells them that in order to escape the authorities (who are now in
Jamaica with Taylor), they'll have to play dead. Noah and Julia exchange
vows in a Jamaican church before swallowing Corinne's secret potion to put
them into a death-like trance. Fooled into believing that Noah and Julia
are dead, Mateo reads Julia's "suicide" note and blames Taylor. Corinne
tells Mateo the truth, and they go to the cemetary to administer the
antidote, but Isabella has already had Julia's coffin shipped home.
May 1996 -- Grace cancels her plan to have Noah cremated when she finds out
he's alive. [Phew!] Meanwhile, Julia is given the antidote and revived.
Noah, Corinne and Mateo conspire to convince Taylor that Noah's ghost is
haunting her. With Jack (the prosecutor) in attendance, they usher her to
the mausoleum, where Taylor unwittingly confesses her crimes on tape. She's
arrested. There is much rejoicing as everyone is reunited. Taylor pleads
guilty to obstructing justice, and Noah's conviction is reversed. A tabloid
TV show offers Noah big bucks to tell his story, but he turns them down.
June 7, 1996 -- Edmund, Maria and Isabella throw Noah and Julia a surprise,
Cinderella-style wedding at Wildwind. When the minister is late, their
friends and family marry the couple in the name of trust, magic and truth
[among others].
June 1996 -- Noah and Julia honeymoon in New York.
While in New York, Noah gets a job offer from his old modeling agent. Noah
decides to become an EMT, so he plans to fund his studies with modeling,
and takes the job reluctantly.
July 1996 -- Julia pawns her engagement ring when Noah is sued for walking
out on a fashion shoot he found offensive. Noah notices the ring is missing
and gets it back for her.
August 1996 -- Noah gets a job as a bartender and accidentally mixes too
strong a drink for Mateo (leading to Mateo's later arrest for disorderly
conduct). Noah and Julia conspire to reunite Maria and Edmund, who split up
after Kelsey, the biological mom of their adopted baby, reclaimed him.
September 1996 -- Noah shoots photos at Hal's bar. Hayley notices them and
thinks he could have a very SNAPPY future. Julia gives Noah a surprise
gift: his own camera!

Argh! Argh, argh, argh! I read the interview with KHC, and wanted
to run out and bribe every casting agent on either coast to lock their
doors and windows to him. What an *ego*. Sure, actors are, by nature,
self-involved (they have to be to survive), but couldn't he have
mustered at least a trace of modesty?
