|} Rough Reference List
I have some additions...
And now, here's something we hope you'll really like! (Rocky & Bullwinkle)
He's from Barcelona. (Fawlty Towers)
Oh yes, thank you *so* much. (Fawlty Towers)
Yes, DEAR, I'm just doing it, DEAR! (Fawlty Towers)
|}....and I will call him George. (Warner Bros. cartoon)
Technically this is from "Of Mice And Men"; the WB cartoon (with the
idiotic Yeti and Daffy Duck) is a play on the book/film.
|}Tonight, on Emergency 911... (Emergency 911)
SHouldn't this be "Rescue 911"?
Hm, I'll have to keep thinking of more. Good job, though!

And how about these...
HA HA HA HA HA YOU'RE STUCK HERE! (Fugitive Alien)
YOU...ARE GOING...TO DIE! WHY? BECAUSE I...AM GOING...TO KILL YOU!
I know they used it in "Jungle Goddess" but what is the original source?
James Bond, maybe? Also what precedes this quote? Something like...
"Was the [food dish] acceptable? Was the [wine] to your liking? GOOD!
BECAUSE... (etc.)"
Thanks for your help.

: ....and I will call him George. (Warner Bros. cartoon)
... ref'ing "The Grapes of Wrath". The voice of the big dog mimics Lenny
from that movie, who always wanted George to tell him about raising rabbits.
: He is one weird mamma jamma. (?)
Possibly the '70s disco song, "He's A Bad Mamma Jamma". Band, anyone?
On the other hand, you left out "He is one baaad mother-- SHUT YOUR
MOUTH!" From the theme song of the movie "Shaft".
: I am Kirok! (Star Trek, original series, "For the world is hollow, and I
: have touched the sky.")
Right series, wrong episode. It's "The Paradise Syndrome".
: I do believe in ghosts, I do, I do, I do believe in ghosts! (Wizard of Oz)
"spooks", Jess, "spooks"!
: I'm huge! (?)
Probably not a ref. Just a joke, because the camera's low angle is
sometimes used to be "artsy" and sometimes used to give the illusion of
huge size. However, wasn't there a line in "Amazing Colossal Man"
blending this with the Yul Brynner ref: "I'm huge now. Please don't
smoke."
: My mother was a saint! (Public Enemy #1)
Jess, and you call yourself a Republican! It's a direct quote from
Richard Nixon's resignation speech.
: Puma? Puma! (Right of Terror)

(grrr) yes, yes, I know that. I made the mistake of letting the original
ref. list's error go, and now I'm catching heat for it. grr. (I.e., yeah,
I should have picked up on that...)

good call.

that error is mine, folks, all mine.

>"spooks", Jess, "spooks"!
well...this raises a question. When MST misquotes something - and I'm
positive Joel and the bots said "ghosts" - do we put the misquote or the
original in the Reference file?
>: My mother was a saint! (Public Enemy #1)
>Jess, and you call yourself a Republican! It's a direct quote from

well, I don't call myself a Republican, because (as jamie and greg lean
forward, teeth bared) I'm not (mnyah! :P), but I'm pretty sure it's also
a quote from Public Enemy #1 (either that or White Heat, come to think of it)

Obviously my mind was elsewhere on this one....
