Theatre Arlo, is now preparing to present łMan Saved by Condiments!˛ a
play written by Mary Jo Pehl, based on the true story of a man whose car
went off a bridge, broke his hip, and survived for five days by eating
snow and the packets of condiments he found under his seat.
The group has started a fundraising effort at Kickstarter to raise money
to bring the show to New York City in February and March of 2012.

€ BURBANK, Calif.­Character actor Sid Melton, perhaps best known for his
roles in the hit television shows łGreen Acres˛ and łThe Danny Thomas
Show,˛ died Nov. 2, at the Providence St. Joseph Medical Center here, of
pneumonia, his family said. He was 94.
MSTies, to whom he was affectionately known as łlittle monkey boy,˛
recall his performances as Sgt. Willie Tatlow in the movie in episode
208- LOST CONTINENT and Pill Box in the movie in episode 520- RADAR
SECRET SERVICE. You can read his obit here.

€ CBS-TV newsman Andy Rooney, who was parodied by M&tB in a host segment
in episode 902- THE PHANTOM PLANET, died Nov. 4.

€ MALIBU, Calif. ‹ Margaret Field OąMahoney, who used the stage name
Margaret Field when she appeared in dozens of TV and movie roles from
the 1940s to the 1970s, died at her home here Nov. 6, after a six-year
struggle with cancer. She may be best remembered at the star of the 1951
sci-fi classic łThe Man From Planet X.˛ She was 89. Her daughter is
actress Sally Field, and she died on her daughterąs birthday.
Field gave up acting in her mid-thirties to focus on family and
eventually helped raise her seven grandchildren.
MSTies may remember her very last role, as a nurse in the TV movie łThe
Stranger,˛ shown in episode 305- STRANDED IN SPACE. Read her obituary

€ NEW YORK CITY­Richard Gordon, a B-moviemaker whose credits as a
producer and executive producer of science fiction and horror films
included łFiend Without a Face˛ and łThe Haunted Strangler,˛ died at New
York-Presbyterian Hospital here Nov. 1, of a heart condition. He was 85.
The British-born Gordon was producer of the movies in episodes 818-
DEVIL DOLL and 901- THE PROJECTED MAN. Thereąs a nice long obituary
