I dont get it, Steven, but if you feel that way, I'm sorry to see you go.
Will the last person out of here please turn off the lights? Oh,
wait....that might be me.

I am a Nobody.
Nobody is Perfect.
Therefore I am Perfect.
Don't worry, Moni, I'll be here. Steven, I'd be sorry to see you go as
well, when you are discussing musicals. Even though we disagree, there's
usually respect paid... which is rarely true when the subject drifts
away from our topic... which I wish we wouldn't.

Steve, I was busy the last few days so hadn't been reading RATM (quel
horreur!). I just saw "Finian's Rainbow" on Sunday, and really loved
it. I've seen Kate Baldwin twice before on the stage of Paper Mill
(once as Irene in "Hello Dolly" and once as Sarah Brown in "Guys and
Dolls"), but I really liked her here best. She certainly is easy on
the eyes, and has a wonderful soprano voice. And my daughter (the
stage manager) has worked with her in a workshop and says that she's a
real sweetheart.
FR was like a wonderful throwback to the "golden days". Going to a
show with a pit of 24 these days is a pleasure. Even though I know
the score well, I still have found myself humming the songs all day
even a week later ("Something Sort of Grandish" is particularly
embedded). Besides Jim Norton (as Finian), KB, Cheyenne Jackson (whom
I liking more and more -- a good actor, singer, quite charming, and
I'm told by the ladies easy on the eyes), and Christopher Fitzgerald,
and was really blown away by the dancing of Alina Faye as Susan. I
had never heard of her before, but I'll certainly be paying attention
in the future.

I can concur, as she and her husband did a benefit for me two years
ago. Kate impressed me most with her lightning-fast comic timing.
It's long struck me that these leading lady roles put that light under
a bushel.
Or the Scottish accent in the OBC (which freaked me out completely in 1963).

Yes, after all these years I can't get Ella Logan's voice out of my
head.
