Hi all. I'm looking for a song to audition with for an audition for the role
of Patty Simcox in Grease. Suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!!! For
some reason I'm drawing blanks and I can't come up with anything appropriate to
this character - I know that there have to be songs out there though. Any
ideas for anything spunky, cheerleaderish, and somewhat over the top? Thanks
in advance.

Lizzie :)

How about something from "Bye Bye Birdie?" Even the theme song to that might be
appropriate.

Here's a bit of GREASE trivia. Can anyone name the original Patty Simcox in
the earliest Chicago production (before it got optioned for NY)?

It was Polly Pen, who later won raves performing in CHARLOTTE SWEET and
composing GOBLIN MARKET and BED & SOFA.

I may have asked this before, as it's something that interests
me.

What was the plot line of the original version of Grease? I
know it was considerably longer, had more characters, and
only included four songs, but what went on?
I'm just curious to know what changed when Jacobs and Casey
adapted it for Broadway. I think I may have read that it had
more about the rivalry between the Burger Palace Boys and the
Flaming Dukes but I'm not sure.

Anyone care to enlighten my ignorance?
