I came in on a thread re how to pronounce Ayckbourn's name. (Thanks!) Does
anyone have a definitive pronunciation for Derek Jacobi's last name?
Somebody who was in a group that toured theatres in London and met the man
told me he pronounced it Ja-KOH-bee, which is how I've pronounced it; but
many people have told me it's JACK-a-bee, and since I'm a hopeless
malaproper and pronounce many many words wrong, I've been confused about
this one ever since.

Well, now I'm confused! At the end of an audio-book performed by the man,
Sir Derek says, "This is Derek JA-koh-bee..." I assume we should
pronounce it as he does, no?
