I'm taking a shot in the dark that someone might be able to confirm or deny
the existence of Southern Hair magazine, which is referenced in Robert
Harling's Steel Magnolias.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to contact the publisher --
if it exists! -- to obtain some copies of the alleged magazine for a community
theatre production of Harling's play.

Thanks in advance!

I'm pretty sure SOUTHERN HAIR mag does not exist. If you want to pick up
copies of similar arcane mags, go to your hair salon and ask for old copie of
SALON mag, HAIR TODAY, etc. I'm sure they'll accomodate in the spirit of
community support for community theatre.

We have done th show 3 times and each time we took a big mag and the
props folks made a new cover for it with Southern Hair on it. Its a
good gag and not hard to do. Good luck. If you have any other q's
about the show just ask, we've done 'em all.
