For those of you that were speculating a few months back that the
woman (was it Beth Roussiant? Can't remember) who played Ishara in
"Legacy" is Linda Hamilton's twin sister, here's some new info for you:

o Linda Hamilton *does* have a twin sister. (She said so
on _Larry King Live_ last week.)
o Linda Hamilton's twin appears in _Terminator 2_, also as
Sarah Connor. (This courtesy both what Linda H said on
Larry King and what I saw with my own eyes tonight.)
o Linda Hamilton's twin is named Leslie Hamliton Graerrer.
(The spelling of that last name may not be fully correct.
I'm going from seeing it once in the end credits of T2
about 2 hours ago.)
o Linda's twin looks a hell of a lot more like Linda than
ol' Ishara did.

I admit that there's some strong resemblance between Linda Hamilton
and the woman that played Ishara...but they're not twins. (Whether
they have other sisters, a cousin, or something else in Hollywood I
have no idea.)

BTW, T2 is damn good stuff. Much better than "Redemption." Go see it.

Extant info deleted.

However, Beth Toussaint (yes, that's her name) and Linda Hamilton were
on a talk show together a few months back. Just happened to catch part
of it :_).

To wit:
They _are_ twins. Granted, there are many similarities, but I got the
impression (nothing was said about this one way or another) that Beth
and Linda are fraternal rather than identical. They told some stories
about their family life and what growing up with a twin was like...
Lots of stuff like that.

Not fair, since T2 had more than two hours to do its stuff and Redemption had
less than 45 minutes to do its stuff.

Not to mention the fact that T2's budget was about $98.5M higher than your
average ST:TNG episode :-)

Actually, Hamilton was also on David Letterman and told a great story about
her twin sister.

When they brought sister Leslie out to Hollywood to do her appearance in T2
(thereby saving them some moneyin special fx), apparently no one bothered
to tell Arnold about it. So Leslie Hamilton was standing outside Linda's
trailer, waiting for sis to come back, having just gotten in and with her
suitcase at her feet. And Arnold saw her, snuck up behind her, and started
kiddingly feeling her up and going "Linda, Linda..." and Leslie turned
around, smiled and said, "I don't think you understand. I'm Linda's
twin sister, Leslie." And Arnold thought she was kidding and started
saying, "So Linda, what's with the suitcase, you running out on me," and
still doing the tickling stuff, and she says real patiently, "I'm Linda's
twin sister, Leslie, I just got in from the airport." And there were
lots of witnesses, all of whom were in hysterics, and it started to
sink in on Arnold that she wasn't joking. I wish I'd been there to see
his face.

BTW, I don't know the actors' names, but the twin actors who played scientist
s in Gremlins II and military censors in Good Morning Vietnam also appear
in T2. When you see one of them, and you recognize him, you immediately
think to yourself, "Well, here's a guy who's going to get duplicated by
the evil Terminator."

One other thing--John Connor's foster mother is played by Jenette Goldstein,
sergeant Vasquez from "Aliens." Quite a striking difference.

This is not a ST posting, but I gotta tell ya all, that T2 is WORTH seeing.
Especially if you see both back to back!
