Do you search the exact positions of real stars mentioned in Star Trek?

With the help of Bernd Schneider and Masao Okazaki, I've created a
complete
list of about 20 stars and their parallaxes, distances, galactic
coordinates
and the resulting map distances and angles, which you need if you want
to
create your own Star Trek maps. Most of these figures are based on data
from
the HIPPARCOS catalogue and therefore are as exact as possible. Of
course,
explanations and sample maps how to use this data are included.

The URL of the page:

Important Notice: Please include a link to the Star Trek Dimension if
you
use the figures provided in the table. Please do not use the sample maps
directly.

If you want to learn more about Star Trek cartography or galactic
geography,
please visit the Star Trek Cartography project of the
Star Trek Dimension (http://www.stdimension.de/int/index.htm), the
biggest
source on Star Trek maps & distances in the internet! Here you can find
extensive expositions on this topic, lots of official, real and fan-made
maps, detailed resource lists, javascripts to calculate warp distances
and
much more. Their is also a map of explored space
(http://www.stdimension.de/int/Cartography/MapExplored.htm) which I
created
recently, however, it still does not contain the updated data of the
real
stars, so please use the sample maps provided with the table as a
